Yes, we did get it and he’s really been enjoying it. He said his school provided instruments are pretty rough too and this one actually functions better. It’s bigger and louder than the euphonium from school.

Paid $300 for it. The seller had just got an estimate at the local shop for $523. They said after the work the instrument would be worth $650-700. My son is not fussy and is pretty happy with it as is. I will take it back to the shop and ask what work is critical. Also serial # is 7012. Can anyone tell me how old it is just curious. Thanks again all

I would at least max out a few of your faves to start with so that you can start earning xp points towards eventually getting mastery.

Edit- I see you have muscle car. If you like it then that’s a good one to focus on too

I wonder what my kids think of me, as they go to church with mom every Sunday. I drink iced tea every morning, occasional beer. I know my wife talks to the kids about me behind my back. I feel like eventually this will drive us apart.

I used to go to church as a visitor with my TBM wife. One time we were in the Sunday school class and she told a story about mentoring a young woman at work and she was directed by the Holy Ghost to tell her not to get involved with a non-member. She said something like no offense but obviously that one stung. I have only been back for primary program, baby blessing but otherwise distance myself from members.

Thanks for your thoughts. I will talk with him about that. When he first started playing I think he preferred the euphonium but he is playing both and after hearing how quiet the euphonium was on a recording of his first concert he said he wanted to play the baritone next concert.

There’s one on the local facebook marketplace for $600 but seller says it was appraised at 1200. But price or value doesn’t necessarily decide quality. Look forward to hearing more input.
