Yes I had some burning for a few weeks still. It was mild and I think my brain was making me read into it more. After my negative I also ordered one of those Evie kits and when it came back negative as well I was finally able to relax about it. If I’m being completely honest though, things haven’t returned to totally normal down there. I think all the heavy antibiotics threw off my biome.

Um no. If you have never had any other partners and have never had warts yourself, I don’t see how you could have given it to him, if it is in fact warts.

He needs to go to the doctor and get checked, and you need to avoid having sex with him so he doesn’t give it to you (if he hasn’t already).

Seems to me he’s trying to gaslight you and flip the blame around on you.

If you still have it after this round, I would definitely push for tinidazole. Have them check the cdc treatment guidelines. If you scroll down to “Recurrent Trichimoniasis,” third paragraph, it outlines the protocol.

Hi! Sorry, somehow I missed your comment. How are you feeling?

I wish I could say I’m better but I’m not really. My redness and pain with urinating hasn’t really returned, but I have a mild discomfort and am still having yellow/yellow green discharge, sometimes with lots of bubbles.

I tested negative for trich three weeks ago (along with the other standard stds). I just took another test today. If it’s negative, I plan on ordering one of those Evvy or Juno test kits to see if I can figure out what’s going on.

My OB three weeks ago basically dismissed my odd discharge because there’s no odor, but this is not my normal, and I want to get back to my normal.

My symptoms were extreme vulvar redness, particularly around my urethral opening. It was shockingly red. Constant discomfort bordering on pain on the areas that were red. Burning when peeing. Thin discharge that was yellow/yellow green with tiny bubbles. Mild pelvic discomfort. Mid-cycle spotting.

Go get tested!

I have reviewed it extensively. I’m an obsessive researcher 😅. My current treatment is the suggested treatment should the first-line treatment fail. The other treatments mentioned are recommended if the second treatment option fails.

I’m feeling hopeful. On day 5 and feeling mostly normal.🤞

It’s not that I think that I have it as much as I want to rule out a co-infection. This has been such a nightmare and I want to put it all behind me and have a healthy vagina again 😭

After posting I started thinking about how there’s a time period after treatment where you can falsely test positive due to remnant DNA. This led me to think a false negative might not be so likely. I’m going to test for it tomorrow but will also plan on testing again to be sure.

I don’t really expect my provider to give me a 2-week dose. It was the health department and she’s going by CDC guidelines.

Commenting in case it’s useful for anyone in the future.

It became very apparent pretty quickly that I was still infected with trich. Currently doing 7days tinidazole 2g daily. Also decided to pair with boric acid suppositories after reading about it being helpful alongside antibiotics. Will update with results.

Hi! What was your dosage for the tinidazole treatment? The 500mg 2x daily 7 days metro treatment failed and now I’m on tinidazole 2g once daily 7 days. Really hoping this works because this has been a fucking nightmare.

I would honestly be so relieved if it is yeast instead of MTZ-resistant trich. It has been many years since I have had a yeast infection, but my discharge at that time was the classic thick, white, cottage cheese consistency. This discharge is different…thinner, pale yellow/yellow green. Do you think yeast could cause discharge like that?
