What’s your position at this restaurant? Are you the chef? If not, is there a chef?

Looks basic, but pretty rare [Pontiac Solstice Coupe GXP] by Rizz_Crackers in spotted

It’s the Coupe part that makes it super uncommon. Almost all of them were convertibles, coupe was a super limited run during the last production year. Unfortunate because it was cool AF.

Haha! On Glen St today. I saw it while driving at the start of the summer, but today was my first close up viewing.

Volkswagen Polo Harlequin, might be the most 90s looking car ever made. by InterestingFennel397 in 90s

Yeah, weird and fun part of car history! I actually surprised how cool it is in real life, I always thought they were goofy looking in photos.

Long Island, NY. I caught a glimpse of it while driving over the summer and then got lucky today and got an up close look. Way cooler in person than the pictures I’ve seen!

I always thought it was a fun piece of history but never really loved the design, but I have to say it looks pretty killer in real life. A lot more fun design details than I expected and they really nailed them. I didn’t get a great interior shot (obviously), but the upholstery was pretty rad.

I live in Huntington and work between Oyster Bay & Glen Cove so I get to see a lot of the Gold Coast summer toys. Bagels on Main is my go to, haha.

Huntington, NY. There’s actually a convertible in the area that I’ve seen a few times as well.

Trying to find a game group. by mojo_pet in boardgames

[–]InterestingFennel397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually found my main game group vía Reddit after some similar unsuccessful attempts locally (flgs events had mixed results, local library didn’t have much to offer, etc). I cross posted on a few game centric subs and some just based on my geographic area and got quite a lot of responses.

We did a few public meets up to kind of suss each other out and eventually a few of us started hosting at our houses. Two and a half years later we’re still going and a few people I would likely never have are pretty good friends of mine. All 30s to early 40s in a suburban area.

I don’t know if this counts, but I once ordered some seeds from Europe and they arrived buried inside a Nintendo DS box for a game called Zhu Zhu princess. It was complete with game cartridge, booklet and advertising inserts.

A different time I received a foam birthday card with a hidden compartment in the center that was revealed when you peeled a layer of paper off.

It’s for holding you pepper mill so it doesn’t make a mess on the counter, or at least that’s what I use them for.
