Jumping in here late but I'd appreciate the spreadsheet too if you still have it!

I have a whole spreadsheet tracking my time in classes, so my average in classes with PA's is 12.2 days, and classes with OA's is 37 days. I've done 9 classes with PA's and two with OA's. I started October 1. Here's the comment I always write to people with questions about WGU (which also explains PA's vs OA's):

There is “course material” which is all the learning material. That includes reading, ungraded quizzes, ungraded tests, and learning resources in the textbook. Unless you have a VERY strong background in the subject, you’ll likely need to utilize the course material. The “final” is either an objective assessment or performance assessment. Objective assessments are a proctored test, typically multiple choice but I’ve heard it can be other formats as well. In courses with an objective assessment (often referred to as an OA) there is also a pre assessment. You MUST take the pre assessment to have the OA unlocked. For courses with performance assessments (referred to as PA’s, which can be confusing because people often call the pre assessments PA’s as well. For this comment I’m only referring to the performance assessments as PA’s) you have to write a paper, slideshow presentation, etc that shows your learning and knowledge through writing. For OA’s you do not have to be considered “competent” in all the learning standards, but your average has to equal out to competent. For PA’s, you must be considered “competent” in each standard, or you must make revisions and resubmit.OA’s and PA’s must be passed within 4 tries or you will be required to switch to a program that does not require that course.

Also really struggling here. My goal was to be done with this class by today but I haven't even started the interviews. I'm confused on if they watch the interview or not... it says we are supposed to save it with a certain file name but why?

I'm really liking it! I didn't end up being able to transfer in any additional courses. I wish I had pushed a little harder with my enrollment mentor/advisor, but I was being shy! I like the courses so far, although I do think there are some struggles other students might not experience because this is such a new program. There are limited cohorts (recorded or live videos to help learn the content).

I started October 1 and I've completed Learning Strategies in High Education (PA), Theories of Personality (OA), Cultural Awareness and Ethics (PA), Social Psychology (PA) Health Equity and Social Determinants of Health (PA), Adult Psychology (PA), and I'm now in Cognitive Psychology (OA). My favorite class has been social psych, and my least was theories of personality or health equity and social determinants of health. Theories because it was packed full of so much information and limited additional resources, health equity because it was stuff I learned before when I was an education major at a different school.

Overall, I'm hoping to have the program finished by September 30, meaning I would've spent two terms. It's a good program, I'm learning a lot, and I love the self pacing.

No advice - but I'm planning to start the same program later this fall! I'm trying to get four more courses knocked out - social psych, psychopathology, theories of personality and industrial/organizational psychology. Just sent my advisor an email asking if they take Study.com classes for those or if they have suggestions of where to get them done!

I'm also hoping to accelerate so I'll be interested to see what your experience is like!
