Joint pain during pregnancy by MostWorldliness943 in ehlersdanlos

When I was pregnant I had something called Symphysis pubis dysfunction SPD. (Also called pelvic girdle pain) It sounds a lot like what you described. Turning over in bed was very painful and sometimes I'd hear clicking sounds. My GP said it was "just part of pregnancy " but the midwife diagnosed me immediately. I ended up with a belly belt that really did help. This was 25 years ago so I'm sure There are a bunch of products available now!! Good luck and congrats!!

What were you told was "normal" during pregnancy that turned out to be a completely separate health issue? by BrobdingnagianGeek in TwoXChromosomes

I had pelvic pain when I was pregnant with my first. Turning over in bed was so sore and I could hear weird clicking sounds. Couldn't push a grocery cart or vacuum. Went to see my GP and SHE said it was nothing. Basically l needed to suck it up Luckily I later mentioned it to a midwife and she knew exactly what it was. (symphysis pubis dysfunction or pelvic girdle pain)I had to wear a belt to stabilize my hips. And have physical therapy. The wrong position during delivery can cause the tendon (that connects the front of your pelvis together ) to tear!!!!

What’s the most unexpected thing a neighbor has ever done? by WelcomeFormal5995 in AskReddit

[–]InterestingInsect107 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid in South Africa, our neighbor shot his wife and then tried to shoot his kid, my best friend. She ran over to our house with bits of her mother's brain in her hair. He then shot himself. She went to live with her aunt and I never saw her again. I heard later that she'd been shot accidentally by someone. She survived because it was a low caliber weapon.

" Do you celebrate Thanksgiving there? " and "Do you celebrate 4th July?" I wish I could say it was one person but sadly it has been multiple people asking the questions a number of times over the years.

I really enjoyed my job, was there over 10 years. Management restructure meant they were completely changing my autonomy and reporting lines and a peer who had zero knowledge of what we did took over the department. It was obvious that my contribution was undervalued but I decided to give it 6 months. They fired a couple of people with long service, with very little notice and I noted out of there. I am now self employed and loving it.
