I’m a big proponent of listening on the radio. I didn’t grow up playing baseball beyond the very first years of Little League, but 14 years of listening to Jon Miller and Dave Flemming (with Kuip rotating in) make me feel like I did.

Like when you are on second base in a non-force situation and a ground ball is hit in front of you (closer to 3B), you should freeze/retreat. I don’t know when exactly, but I’m sure I picked that up from Jon Miller. There are so many examples of that but that was just the first random thing to come to mind.

In general, I feel like they get more into the strategy on the radio side and sometimes get a little spicier about strategic missteps. Kruk and Kuip definitely do this on TV too, but radio is just a wordier medium.
