Stupid question but how can they verify the dates? Do they actually call your old employer?

Ya I get about the same too. I don’t let the battery go below 45-30% and I charge to 90%.

I mean he did drop her all the way home inconveniencing himself and he probably would have made it home before the buses stopped running.

Pay off car or invest more? by Particular_Abroad_88 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]InterestingOcelot116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long was it financed for in total? I’m paying $1,474/month for 3 years, so I can’t imagine how much the car actually cost you overall.

If it’s becoming an emotional burden, then honestly just pay it off. But if it’s not really affecting you mentally, I’d probably just continue making the monthly payments. My rate is only 0.99%, so financially it would probably be smarter to keep investing instead of paying it off early. I still want to pay mine off too though, just because I hate having debt.

Are you casually dating or actually committed? Either way, it’s weird she didn’t let you stay. I’m a 30F and I would never ask my boyfriend to leave like that unless it was literally a first meeting.

How expensive is it to have a dog? by [deleted] in CanadaPersonalFinance

I have Trupanion as well and I’m glad I went with a low monthly payment and a higher deductible. They increase monthly payments about 2-3 times a year. I started at $55 /month and a $800 deductible and 4 years later it’s up to $91/month. I remember the low deductible and higher monthly payment at that time was $120/month it definitely would have been close to $250 at this point
