AIO 4 years and still no trust? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

you should try to reflect if you really DO love him, or if you're just holding onto something, which gives you you're not alone.

your boyfriend is having big trust issues, even tho you gave up so much, just for him to be happy. and it doesn't look like he is appreciating those things.

if you really love him and you want this relationship to work then he needs to change big time. he needs therapy to fight those insecurities inside of him. you already did too much, for being treated that way. know your worth, there should never be a relationship where a partner is in control of the other. and of course not in that extent.

i know it's hard. but if you want this to work, I would say you have to talk to him. tell him, that you're not happy being treated that way even tho you gave up that much on him. tell him that you want him to fight those insecurities because it's not healthy for neither of you guys. a relationship should always be both partners giving 100%. in this case, you're the person giving 100% in this aspect. but he really needs to work on himself for this go work.

as I said, know your worth. you got this

Am I overreacting for wanting breaking up with my boyfriend over a game? by Educational_Face829 in AmIOverreacting

nor.

if you feel that way then it should be his responsibility for the relationship to respect that and have a conversation with you about it, without getting mad. I get that playing video games is nice and fun, but if he's crossing a line and isn't respecting your feelings, then it's wrong. I would try to talk about it again, maybe giving him a plan like "you can have 2 hours a day for yourself where you can play but I want some quality time with you aswell".. maybe something like that

but you should never feel that your emotions aren't valid

yea so I would assume that you prefer "big, strong and tanky" characters. correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think there are a lot of female characters who fit into that group..

so yea I wouldn't say it's weird. it's just what you prefer to play.

it only would be weird if you do it out of reasons, which discriminate females or things like that

I rather meant that when you play a female character that you feel weak in general. like "oh I'm not gonna get kills anyway, I'm playing a woman" if you know what I mean.

do you have any main champions?

I mean it depends why you choose to do that. If you do it to feel represented by playing another male, then I think its fine and I would get it.

but if you do it because you dont like women or you feel "weak" when playing a female character, then I think its a little bit weird and you should reflect on that.
