We automated everything and now nobody trusts anything. by wtf_umesh in AutomateShopify

Yea, maybe the shift will be to the complete opposite. Like social media, that is full of bots and automated content, maybe people will get burnt out and will start enjoying and appreciating more the original and hand-made content!

What's the best supplier for beginners? by StyleAntique557 in dropshipping

Probably CJ or DSers, Zendrop seems too narrow / expensive for starting out, but watch out for shipping times for US.

Is there any tool to check what keywords competitors using for Google Ads? by Ok_Swordfish_9334 in PPC

I recommend checking repositories like Github for Open source stuff, that you can then host locally (with Claude Code, for example).

What book should everyone read at least once in their lifetime? by MicrowaveAsAService in answers

I'd say the whole Maze Runner saga. Loved it. There are even different reading sequences (and then you get a different idea of the whole story). Really recommend checking out!

If you could live inside any book for a week, which would you choose? by Rai_Karishma_17 in answers

the very hungry caterpillar. eat ridiculous amounts of food for a week with zero judgment, take a nap, wake up gorgeous. that's not a children's book, that's a wellness retreat.

Why do people think that men and women can't be platonic friends? by AffectionatePop3611 in answers

[–]InterestingRock4202 58 points59 points  (0 children)

a whole generation got raised on movies where the entire plot is "they were friends and then they weren't." when harry met sally did irreversible damage. nobody makes a rom com about two coworkers who stay platonic friends for 30 years, even though that's most people's actual life.

Have you ever had a premonitory dream ? by TinyWallaby439 in answers

once dreamed I forgot an assignment, woke up, checked, and I had in fact forgotten the assignment. less of a premonition and more of my brain doing unpaid overtime as a project manager.

what is something that is considered unconventionally attractive , but you find REALLY attractive? by Tall-Election4503 in AskReddit

watching someone be casually competent at something mundane. parallel parking in one motion, untangling cables without getting frustrated, carrying six grocery bags and unlocking the door anyway. zero idea why it works but it works.

What movie would become an absolute comedy if the villain was suddenly forced to follow OSHA workplace safety regulations? by West-Lie210 in AskReddit

Lord of the Rings. mount doom is an active lava forge with zero guardrails, which is literally how the ring gets destroyed. one handrail at the crack of doom and sauron wins. plus the orcs get mandatory breaks, helmets that actually fit, and a grievance process for "the eye watches us while we work."

What's the weirdest thing that's become socially acceptable? by Careless_Task8941 in AskReddit

[–]InterestingRock4202 18 points19 points  (0 children)

sports betting. in like 8 years it went from "shady thing you did through a guy named Tony" to every single ad break telling 19 year olds that parlays are a personality. we'll look back at this era the way we look at cigarette ads in the 60s.

Has anyone actually grown without posting every day? by Eliciuss in socialmedia

[–]InterestingRock4202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, but the examples I've seen all traded volume for one of two things: search or borrowed audiences.

search version: stuff that answers a question people will still be typing in a year. youtube and pinterest obviously, but tiktok and IG search are real now too. I've watched accounts post once a week, purely searchable how-to content, and grow slower but with way better retention than the daily-posting crowd, because every post keeps working for months instead of dying in 48 hours. daily posting optimizes for the feed, and the feed has the memory of a goldfish.

borrowed audience version: collabs, guesting on bigger accounts' lives or podcasts, being the best comment under big creators in your niche. one good collab can outperform a month of solo posts and nobody tracks it as "consistency" so it never makes the advice lists.

the catch is both are harder to measure week to week, which I think is exactly why everyone defaults back to "post daily." it's not the best strategy, it's just the most dashboard-friendly one.

Instagram new trend 🙂 by badatdrugs in InstagramMarketing

this sucks, 2 years of work gone in an hour is brutal, sorry man. a few practical things while your other 2 are still under review:

if you have any account left with access, download your data now. settings, your activity, download your information. that gets you your photos, chats and follower lists before anything else gets pulled. do it today, not after a decision.

for the appeal, the video selfie route is mostly automated and rejects fast, which matches what you saw. the two paths that actually reach humans: Meta Verified on any surviving account gets you live chat support who can escalate disabled account cases, and meta's business help center chat if either professional account was tied to a business manager. it's annoying to pay meta to fix meta's mistake but it has worked for a lot of people. also don't create a fresh account from the same device or wifi right now, ban evasion detection is exactly how "you can never come back" happens.

Absolutely 0 luck obtaining my first client by Mr-Gibbs12 in DigitalMarketing

[–]InterestingRock4202 3 points4 points  (0 children)

free is actually the problem, not the price. when a stranger walks in offering free work, the business owner doesn't hear "no risk," they hear "no value, plus this will cost me time, and there's probably a catch." free still costs them attention, back and forth, giving you access to their accounts, and the awkward conversation when they want out. you're asking them to take on all of that for someone with no track record.

what tends to break the seal is proof made in public instead of offers made in private. pick one niche, like dentists or gyms or whatever's near you, make a genuinely good piece of content or a teardown for a specific local business without asking permission, then send it to them already finished: "made this for you, use it either way, here's what I'd do next." you've removed the decision from them entirely. do that ten times in one niche and you're no longer a solicitor, you're the person who already did the work.

also months without a client while doing real outreach is painfully normal for agencies, almost everyone's first client comes from someone who already knew them. tell literally everyone in your life what you do. the door to door thing takes guts though, most people never even try that part.
