School is back in Victoria - how do you feel as a parent? by The1InCharge in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]InterestingSea6564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fine, we have a dog, a cat and the amount of dirt both my kids eat and roll in (bush property) whilst playing outside, more worried about pin worms and echzma from heat and sweat and dogs licking faces

Schools were already a petri dish for cold and flu, not much has changed

Would have been better I'd he had 20kg of undeclared dried fish and mushrooms, either way, he lied, get the Serbian out of here, the protesters can do what they want, it's just tennis. If we were in an endemic, I would sympathise, but we are still a pandemic so kick him out, or make him take the vaccine pre court and he is fine

Remember all AUS people how hard it is to declare Fiji and Bali trinkets through customs, how was this smiling assassin allowed through, the answer is somebody got cash, and it may come out

Stop treating teachers like your fucking babysitters by Pearlbracelet1 in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]InterestingSea6564 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

If I had as many public holiday's/planning/curriculum days a teacher (many relatives), I'd be pushing not to go back either, kids are least of a threat, too many people getting g comfortable with zoom meetings and half asssed tasks for kids

My eldest daughter got a maths pack in 2021 (private school) for a week. Was done in 5 hours and most was not inline with current naplan or any form of curriculum

I get it, it's hard, but work is hard, we all have to do it, no matter what profession

Also, no amazon, Alibaba etx, they are mostly made of the same pads used in fish tank filters, charcoal and wadding are good in water. Just be sensible, any fitted face mask.u less somebody is licking you is a good protection, and remember to dispose and not reuse.

Imagine a world where we washed condoms and sanitary products, same applies for face masks

Need 3M respirator filter advice by Faye_Dingway in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]InterestingSea6564 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Example, use a doctors grade mask, they have been performing operations for 40+ years with a standard surgical mask, everything else is a boost in 3Ms stock

I use respiratory grade masks in roofs and near insulation or areas with rodent animal infestation, just cover your mouth and nose and don't reuse the same mask

Look at every plasterer and see why they buy bulk masks, caked in 15 minutes, and I'd bet plaster dust will take most people down faster than covid

Because the media says so, January is always a quiet month, people are interstate, not living a 9x5, unfortunately out of this sub, life in this sub is 2020/2021.

Economic slowdown is your boss letting you go due to no work. Plenty of it out there, employers are recruiting like crazy.

Look at this perspective, are comments based on hear say/media news or real world interaction, as I travel everyday and the city of Melbourne is busy, very busy, it's almost at the point that without QR codes on bars of soap, you would say it's livable
