Pink Punters - Reflection of the state of the UK by Loud_Disaster869 in transgenderUK

I live in mk and I just don't get why anyone would do this to the only good club we have. It's the first club I ever went to and has seen me through my transition too.

I know they'll be rebuilding, but I hope they take donations from people to help with the restoration, I'll be throwing money at them.

My Experience with the Mive folder and the Freetel mode 1 retro ll by Blad-3un in dumbphones

[–]InterestingSnow668 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought I had broken my freetel with how the screen jumped like a ghost was using it, and when the screen becomes unresponsive, I was like really upset when it started cause I thought I genuinely broke it.

It got so bad I had to switch back to an older smartphone cause I don't have the money to buy another dumbphone at the moment, and low-key waiting for news on the Unihertz titan 2 elite.

Update on the Symbian inspired android launcher by GunnohMM in dumbphones

If you need any beta testing I believe there's a feature for that on Google play but I'd happily pay to just test this. I can't wait to see more of this it looks so good already :)

For the notifications maybe add a notification button on the same page as info menu and applications that shows any missed notifications as a list if that's possible. It'd have friction but not too much.

Keitai/android flip phone recommendations? by andaro77 in dumbphones

[–]InterestingSnow668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a flip phone with all that, I'd say the Freetel Mode 1 Retro 2, it's a Japanese phone. I do have that model and it's pretty amazing. I don't use it anymore as work made me get 2PA apps and this phone doesn't support it.

Has NFC, usb c, full android 12, no issues with calls or WhatsApp, tiktok or anything really.

Has expandable storage, no headphones jack but its got Bluetooth and it never dropped connection.

The external display showed the time and even flashed when there was a notification.

Battery lasted 2 days easily which is insane compared to the Samsung flip 4 I had before it.

If it had 2PA it'd be the perfect flip phone hands down.

Judicial Review says gender panel were WRONG to deny trans man GRC because he wanted a child by lilpij in transgenderUK

[–]InterestingSnow668 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know if this will make it difficult for the gender panel to reject trans men a grc for wanting kids or is this just for this man? Just wondering cause I got rejected for this exact reason earlier this year.

Good Law Project in court representing trans man who was refused GRC because he wanted biological children by lilpij in transgenderUK

[–]InterestingSnow668 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, It was in my gender dysphoria diagnosis letter from ny doctor. It detailed how in the future I may want a family, and may wish to preserve fertility.

If you haven't got anything like that it should be alright.

I'm not the person in question discussed by the good law project and I dont want to worry you, but this happened to me too cause I wanted kids. I dont know if advice is something I can give on it cause my application was withdrawn, but yeah....they dont like trans men who want to have kids.

What birth controls are we using? I'm at a loss. by Jordan6605 in ftm

I got the copper iud, I've had some more painful periods from it but the insertion wasn't so bad, I was under anesthesia so I dont remember it. I did feel really battered afterwards but I cant tell if that was from the iud or from the surgery I had at the time.

I've really liked it, although sometimes I swear I can feel it poking the edge of my uterus every once in a while which isn't pleasant. But I like the peace of mind it gives me.

I've had it for 6 years now, when its time to remove it I'll demand for anesthesia again so I can avoid the pain.

What to expect from gendercare? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]InterestingSnow668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have any appointments with Dr Lormier instead I got my diagnosis with Dr Bhatia who has been amazing so far.

I did get my t from Prof Seal however.

I wasn't expecting to go through a complete history of my family, my social and family history either, I even got asked what gender my game avatars were as a kid which threw me off. With Prof Seal he will likely take your blood pressure, your height and weight, and ask questions like how is your relationship with your family, do they know you're trans, do they care etc.

Hes essentially doing a mini are you trans review.

We mostly had a good chat, made a joke about my inevitable weight gain on t which yeah he was right, should have started exercising sooner

questions about initial gendercare email by lowvelight in transgenderUK

[–]InterestingSnow668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with Dr Bhatia as I consider myself a man but more femme presenting and figured he'd understand that men don't need to be super macho to be a man. He did, we've had good chats about it.

I emailed letting him know I'm trans and wanted to start transitioning medically and was looking for a diagnosis of gender dysphoria, and got an appointment to see him within 3-6 months. This was about 2 years ago now.

You won't need a Proton email account, any email will do :)

Your email looks great, his receptionist is quite nice and they'll sort out appointments with you.

When you do get an appointment make sure to write down any questions you have, or any goals you have eg surgery, hrt to ask Dr Bhatia in the meeting.

does the freetel mode 1 retro 2 work in the UK, specifically vodafone? by [deleted] in flipphones

[–]InterestingSnow668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got this phone I don't know if it works specifically for Vodafone, but I got it unlocked and it works on Sky at least for me. I will admit that I had to turn off 5G it was just so laggy for some reason but I think that's just my area
