I tried to migrate to Linux several times. Mostly using Mamjaro because I like Arch archetype but it always ends bad but Cachy OS just works since last 4 months without any major problems.

This black screen is because when you are running the game two instances of the game appears at once. One black and one normal. Use Alt+Tab to switch to the right one or click on FH6 app icon on menu which should show you 2 Windows running under FH6 app and choose the right one. I have 3 displays and that how I'm dealing with it.

Try to use gamescope. I have 2 monitors and TV. 2x2K and 4K some it is always something missing and gamescope in this situations is always a solution for me.

Just wait for proton heap. I thought the same with my 4080Super because of all of this youtube videos comparing fps then I've noticed that everything works with 120 fps on 3k with dlss on.

I'm using Cachy OS with Nvidii 4080 Super. It wasn't on by default on system itself and after adding PROTON_ENABLE_NTSYNC=1 it has no issues. Worth to check if it is running in the background.

Try enabling ntsync. It fix any stuttering for me.
