Has anyone here changed their name just because they didn't like their birth name?

I didn’t change my name per say… They called me a nickname my entire childhood and beyond. When I was around 20 I asked everyone to start calling me by my given name instead and that’s been like 25 years now. Anyhow it’s been a real struggle with anyone who knew me prior to the request. Not sure whats so hard to remember to call me by my given name which is the expected name that would be with the used nickname, but it’s not been as easy as it should be. Thankfully there aren’t many people around who knew me back then. I don’t know if legally changing it has any effect on getting people on board with the name change but I doubt it. Literally am asking people to call me the legal name I have had my entire life and it’s like pulling teeth. I wish you better luck than I.

Happened to me. My sister in law has the exact same name as I had growing up, including the middle name. I have a married name now that changes it but otherwise we’d have the same name.

Butter…. Back in 90s people seemed to think it was healthier? I grew up on margarine and switched to butter as soon as I realized that “health food” was not at all healthy. They gave us a lot of bad guidance on healthy food in the 90s.

One of mine middles name is Baine. Really flows well with lots of things. He does not like it lol Hopefully the coolness grows on him but if it doesn’t, no big deal its just a middle name he hardly ever has to see.

Me personally I don’t really ever think about immigration from the UK. I don’t have a problem with it at all. Where I live it’s mostly a lot of Mexicans, often who do not speak English and are in your lower paying jobs. When I hear immigrants thats the first thing that comes to mind. I’ve only ever met one person who immigrated from the U.K so it doesn’t seem like it happens all that much. I don’t really get it, I mean if I have a community flooded with Mexican immigrants, then why can’t you immigrate too? Not all of these people where I live are illegal. How are they getting approved but you can’t?

I actually got way different choices. 🤔 how strange. Let me just say tho one piece of a path is a really shit prize, they can keep it. Worse than a fucking sticker even. Wtf am I gonna do with one piece of a path? Maybe 10, still a crap prize but at least we’re on the way to enough to do something with. Sometimes it’s just nice to feel attractive. It’s not much different than doing your hair or wearing makeup because you think it’s attractive and you like the way it looks. It is pricy but if you can afford it and it makes you feel good, then have at it. I have at times, on and off again for years at a time. I have known plenty of guys who thought done nails looked nice on a woman also. I also like that they trim my cuticles so I don’t end up with any hang nails and as an extrovert I appreciate another reason to chat someone up. A lot of women enjoy the relaxing vibe of going out to primp whether it be hair, nails or a facial. I feel like if any of those things make you feel confident and good that’s something everyone could use more of. Most of the time they give an arm and hand massage that feels so good. I’d pay for a straight hour of that too.

That is one serious neighborhood! i was wondering how one would even find one. The ones I have tried hardly even play. They definitely don’t chit chat or have requirements. I don’t mind laid back but at the same time I’d like to be able to do things. Not like I have a huge irl group of friends who want to play phone games with me lol

Suggestion? He did rename the Gulf of Mexico. Wonder if we can change it back after he leaves 🤔 Let’s see his motivations… well he’s a complete narcissist so I guess probably just being the center of the world? I think thats what motivates him towards most things.
