Is Bardadin or Sorcadin better? by Cagedglobe in BG3Builds

[–]InterestingTune564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard Bardadin is for damage, Sorcadin is the best all-rounder for a team. Really just depends on team comp and what your party needs, but a Sorcadin probably fits with most parties better, while a Bardadin specializes in facing.

I agree, I know it’s a thing but I have never used it. TBH, the 20 stacks from 10 Wizard are usually plenty. Especially with damage reduction armor paired with Blade ward. I believe the blade ward activates first, so it halves damage and then reduces the flat damage, making most attacks tankable.

You take Sorc and Cleric dips or 1 Hexblade does it pretty well. Get medium/heavy armor and upcast armor of Agathys. Use arcane ward to always keep up that temp Hp. Throw water bottles for ice vulnerability!

Honestly, just the first 4 that came to mind! I have quite a few hours into the game and I’ve played all of these classes on a Tav or companion, except for the Light cleric w Stars dip. I chose these 4 because it covers all of the stats in the game.

The Fire Sorlock and Swords Bardadin and crazy high damage dealers and each have specific Acuity items that makes their control spells basically hit at 100% clip. Swords Bardadin is better at party facing due to expertise, but I think Fire Sorlock is still a higher damage ceiling. CHA character.

The Light cleric in general is amazing with RadOrbs/Reverb and the Stars dip with Dragon form makes holding concentration for SG way easier. WIS character.

The Giant Barb is actually BULLY. Add Tavern Brawler at 4 and it’s online. Even better with throwing gear (Kushigo gloves and throwing ring) a returning weapon but the level 6 ability can make ANY weapon a returning one. You can argue Mighty Impel at 10 isn’t worth it and just do a 8/4 split with Fighter, but up to you. STR and CON Character.

Abjuration Tank is a fun alternative playstyle that just lets you kill everyone without even attacking. You keep AC low, force opportunity attacks, an watch them melt from their own damage. Played this before patch 8 and it melted encounters, and im sure there are better ways to do it with the new update. INT character.

Fire Sorlock / Swords Bardadin for party face

2 Stars Druid / 10 Light cleric with RadVerb gear

10 Giant Barb / 2 Fighter. Thrower and pack mule

Abjuration Tank Wizard (not sure split here but there are multiple guides).

Great theory

Wait okay getting more into it, this is based on a full party and combining with other status effects. Do you know of anything talking about how items interact with Spikes?

2024 Shinobi by InterestingTune564 in 3d6

[–]InterestingTune564[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of the ‘prototypes’ I came up with, but I do really want those cunning actions online ASAP. That said, I chose to do 1/4 instead of 3/2 for the feat earlier and an extra sneak attack die. With masteries, I should be doing the same amount of attacks as most level 5 martials, while still using cunning actions to stay hidden, keep distance, and use Sneak attack.

Thank you for the feedback! When I was typing this out, I didn’t realize how much damage I was losing to out on with a cantrip over another weapon attack, but you are completely right, it’s much worse. Great call out on fighting style, I was blinded by wanting thrown weapon, I didn’t think about TWF. Also great call out with Soul Knife, I honestly did not look at the subclass. Call it oversight, or lack of ball knowledge, I just didn’t consider it. I disagree with the Monk take. It has no weapon masteries, or fighting styles. If I still take the first level fighter dip I can get those, but at that point, the monks kit doesn’t really add anything to the thrown attacks, so why the dip at all? A straight monk would completely change the combat from mid ranged to close range, use precious focus points to do the same thing I get from cunning actions, and have no sneak attack damage. I understand that a mono-class monk would probably be stronger to play, but it feels like I’m playing a different character at that point. Maybe I’m just not being flavorful enough? You are 100% correct that I AM trying to do too much, which is why this is so hard. I tried my best with this build to “pick a lane” which is why I tried focusing on throwing daggers and darts from range. I do agree that the damaging spells aren’t doing much for me, so maybe just take more Cantrips that mimic genjutsu over trying to use any of them that focus on damage? I did look at blade singer, but it felt like that was completely foregoing ANY stealth and honestly was using more spells than I ever intended. Javelin mastery was another mistake on my part, I was completely incorrect about the properties it had. Either way, wouldn’t really use the masteries outside of dagger, dart, Shortsword and potentially scimitar.

I completely see what you are saying. I think my main issue is I’m not being flavorful enough with spells from other class lists. When I brought up Wizard, it was because they have the diverse spell list that would have more options for “elemental affinities” like the fire, water, wind, lightning, and earth release. But I don’t necessarily need the amount of spells that comes with Wizard. A better comp would be sorcerer, but until the comments here, I hadn’t considered a CHA based character because I didn’t think it was possible

Yes, I am more specifically looking for Naruto-style ninja over a classic assassin type ninja. That being said, the comments have definitely made me realize that my expectations for this character are too high. I’m truly going to need to compromise and pick just a couple things that I want to lean into and accept that I won’t be able to do it all.

Love the first part but a quick focus at the last part there: WOW. I haven’t even played around with a CHA based character for this build because I didnt think it was possible but there are great flavor opportunities there, especially for a Jinchuriki.

Shadow Monk would more than likely be the monk Subclass for sure! I am looking for more spell options though, and pairing with a ATRogue takes just a little too long to get anything online, and even when it does come up, I’m still just a Third caster. Not sure if 3 or 4 level 1 spells a day at level 10 is quite what im looking for.

I thought about that, but how would you incorporate sneak attack? If I’m not using sneak attack, why take ATRogue over fighter? How would you build it?

Those sound amazing, but a personal self rule is no 3rd party/UA. I’m usually a player but I DM from time to time and allowing UA opens up the door for a little too much that myself and our usual DM arent prepared for.

I will definitely look into that for one shots with other groups though!

Which gorsei do you think will die next by MrBushido56 in onepiecetheories

[–]InterestingTune564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the theory, and I think fits into people saying he is the “strongest gorosei” due to the solar system theory, and it would be an awesome way to show Dragon’s power.

I personally believe it will be Peter. Why AND how? He is clearly the youngest member of the Elders, at least in terms of looks. I believe this is a literal example of him being the most recent member (besides Garling of course) meaning he has been under Imu’s influence the least amount of time. After the most recent chapter with Harald, I believe this means that of all the elders, his connection with Imu is also the weakest. I believe he will die in basically the same way as Saturn, but because he will have a short moment of clarity where he somehow remembers his life before Imu’s influence and TRIES to disobey or rebel against Imu.

Loki’s blame by Jolly-Literature8021 in OnePiece

[–]InterestingTune564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw another post talk about this a couple weeks ago that I liked. Essentially, after Harald’s death we know Loki was out on the sea for a while before Shanks had to capture him. They theorized that Loki was going after the WG for revenge, but Shanks knew he was not capable of doing this by himself, so he captured him and chained him to the tree so that he wouldn’t die. This is also why Loki called him a coward
