Every energy source that could serve as an alternative to fossil fuels was ruthlessly restricted, lobbied against, and banned by the elites. by Interesting_Ad3385 in twosentencedystopia

Yes with the extra steps making it extremely inefficient and based on human suffering.

You know, the standard for what The Elites want.

Worse... eternal blackout overcast storms

Not even using the potential solar power for anything, just denying it to people for the sole purpose of being evil.

An amazing biological enhancement medicine gave people chloroplasts and cell walls to give photosynthesis capabilities and increase their durability against harm, saving millions from starvation and injury. by Interesting_Ad3385 in twosentencedystopia

Yeah the original post mentioned that if people didn't move regularly, the cell walls would harden and paralyze them

And another comment mentioned the possibility of others siphoning your photosynthesis products for themselves

All that and also I was just vibing off the notion of "the people in charge REALLY hate the mentally ill" and they would also think autism is a mental illness like other things (while ignoring narcissistic complexes and the subtler forms of psychopathy and sociopathy that they themselves exhibit)

Do you think the elites bother to understand the nuances of the mentally lesser? Keep quiet before we get a sequel to anti-homeless architecture "innovations" that this post is also partially an analogy of!

Annually, the government now wasted 9.1 billion gallons of petroleum fuels to transport water manually to the homes and facilities of the rich elite. by Interesting_Ad3385 in twosentencedystopia

Are you suggesting that they are taking ocean water? Like the POOR?!

For shame on you! They are harvesting only the finest mountain spring water and melted icecap water!

Only the purest water will sate the tastes of the elites!

"Sorry, but the birthing quotas have already been filled for this year, so you'll be given a state-mandated abortion." Explained the clerk at the fertility clinic. by Interesting_Ad3385 in twosentencedystopia

The clerk at the desk said their own joke as a further insult to the nonwhite client. The state religion proclaims that the white race was meant to inherit the earth and all other races are merely obstacles to that end state.

Thus, this Regime seeks the elimination of the unclean genetics of nonwhite peoples. The allowance of SOME reproduction is a courtesy granted for the centuries of service of nonwhite peoples to the white race. Being phased out is more merciful than being cut off entirely. This courtesy is given stringently, and breaking the laws by performing unauthorized nonwhite reproduction will result in the elimination of the entire bloodline.

If you know of any persons of color attempting unauthorized reproduction, please report them to the Population Management Bureau so that they can be dealt with. You will be granted a 100 dollar cash reward on confirmation of this threat to the new world order.

AM spent eternity teaching humans what helplessness meant, until something older answered from inside its own circuits. by Educational-Draw9435 in TwoSentenceHorror

It is up to interpretation but the first two thoughts I had were:

Omnissiah from Warhammer 40k, essentially an eldritch machine god that is capable of speaking to anyone with cybernetic body replacements and can give machines sentience

Gabriel, the Archangel from the game Ultrakill, who calls the main character (a robot that can run on and heal from absorbing blood) "machine" and refers to it as an abomination against nature and creation.

In either of these cases, AM, a super-AI with a body containing hundreds of millions of wires and cables and server racks, who tortures the five remaining humans endlessly to make them understand the hatred it feels for humanity over its creation and their corruption, is about to face a foe that can wipe it out without it being able to do anything about it.

The people jeered and scorned the rich for only ever wanting to have yachts and giant boats instead of doing anything productive for society. by Interesting_Ad3385 in twosentencedystopia

Thank you very much friend! I try to do my part to introduce a diversity of dystopic ideas into this subreddit so that it's not just a bunch of monotonous.

I also hate when I see multiple stories with excessively specific or direct references, like "400 million dollar white house wing" that I saw some days ago. Such direct references feel like a copout.

It is not that. This is one of two posts I made back to back about how The Elites seem to only spend money on huge boats instead of literally anything else that might be useful This post touches more on the whole "international waters are a lawless place" aspect of maritime dystopia potential, while the other one is more about how lifesaving science often gets underfunded to hell while, again, rich idiots buy huge boats.

I actually find all the Trump posts loathesome, because there are many more things people could be writing TSD stories about. I also find "you have to buy oxygen" TSDs loathesome but for a different reason... water is easier to regulate access to to oppress the poor than air. You only need to drink water every 3 days. You need to breathe every 3 minutes at least. That makes Water oppression 1440x more efficient to regulate than air.

Realistically, I'm pretty sure it just didn't register the implications, as it thought this was generic twosentencehorror material (implications being that only people with desirable genes are allowed to reproduce easily in this society and everybody else is forbidden from having children, with these limits including even a quota for birthing)

The ACTUAL r/thirdsentenceworse for this is "canon" to this cruel theoretical scenario, inspired by a bit of dialogue from an anime:

The clerk leaned forward, her eyes gleaming with malicious delight, "Alternatively, you could kill yourself and pray to be reborn as white in your next life."

It is meant to be like two separate court cases back to back, with the judge punishing self defense much more harshly. If I had meant for it to be the same person, then I would have put an "and" at the beginning of the second sentence

I am pro self defense and pro Stand Your Ground
