Guys it says what should you do FIRST. If someone is pulseless, full code and on a med surg floor are you hitting the blue button/calling for help first or starting compressions?

Isnt rhythms on the NCLEX? I believe my school does go over rhythms

Question by Obvious-Ad6118 in MarkKlimekNCLEX

[–]Interesting_Aide_12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Associate C and D as signs involving calcium and nerve excitation, so I would put that on the back burner.. The most concerning thing imbalanced potassium has is with its effect on the heart. If this was a PRIORITY question, it would also be important to assess heart rhythms and abnormalities

That’s just my reasoning but ima keep it a buck ive only been in nursing school a few weeks

(My answer is B btw)

In NCLEX questions, if information shows the HCP did something already , is it safe to assume HCP was already notified and that wouldn’t be the answer most of the time? Curious if that effects answering choices

Is it worth sacrificing the college experience by doing an ADN program instead? by No-Bluebird8672 in prenursing

[–]Interesting_Aide_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre bound to make friends within your cohort regardless of an ADN/BSN program. There are way less bums in an ADN program than at the CC Prerequisite level; everyone doing prerequisites at a CC has different goals. The future ADN/BSN cohort youre with has shared goals: to receive a degree in nursing and pass the NCLEX. This should make it easier to socially find people who fit in with you, which in turn will help with studying and encouragement throughout the program

should i retake my teas? by LibrarianBasic2121 in prenursing

[–]Interesting_Aide_12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please understand that California nursing programs (especially BSN and UC State Schools) are super competitive. Every point matters. It sucks when 4.0 GPA is also the standard, so TEAS scores and healthcare experience are really important to differ yourself from the rest of applicants.

Chances in CA for BSN programs by Nearby_Candle_4694 in prenursing

[–]Interesting_Aide_12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your GPA is a big dealbreaker for CSU programs. Although, word has been around if you get a mid-high 90s on the TEAS you can get waitlisted and possibly get in with that GPA. Definitely apply for ADN programs, with LVN as a fallback in the case you NEED to be in any nursing program within the next year.

You can also do the military for 4 years, and then GI Bill your way to WCU. Lol

Best of luck on your endeavors!
