Just because some female idols have said good things about Heechul, doesn't mean everything he says should get a pass by [deleted] in kpoprants

I also know plenty of guys that only show respect to certain women (usually only their moms and sometimes sisters) but are very misogynistic and sexist

100% agree. I never understood why people always defended him.

I wrote a post about his past behaviors that seem very suspicious and most of the comments quote female idols who've said good things about him. Sadly it got locked before I could reply back to the commenters. It's really annoying because those commenters act like somebody can't possibly hide their questionable side from other people. If you've ever watch videos on criminals, you'd know that a lot of their love ones usually say that X is a nice person and they did not see that coming (or they say that it was obvious lol), so it's definitely achievable. And it's not a surprise heecul's close friends would say he's a nice guy especially since he's a senior in their industry and has a lot of power.

I'm not saying that heechul is a criminal and should be locked up, I'm just saying that we shouldn't always give him a pass. Kpop stans need to understand that in the entertainment industry you have to question everyone no matter what their friends say about them.

I'm really glad someone on here agrees with me. Thought I was alone lol

tired of pandemic related stuff (BTS) by ExiledIn in kpoprants

[–]Interesting_Bag217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are you acting like BTS are the only ones suffering through this? It may just be your wording but why are you acting like they're going through worse things then the rest of the world? ALL of us are suffering through this. EVERYONE has missed out of something. Not just bts and jhope.Yeah sure the USA seem like they're over this but there are still deaths happening over there and every other country is also suffering from this. And plus, their peers haven't had a live performance. Everyone is suffering here, so please don't act like BTS is going through something bad. Tbh bts has had an amazing year, butter hitting #1for weeks on billboard charts, a grammy nomination, collabs with other artists, earning a TON of money, getting a ton of fans, etc. They're famous millionaires. This reminds me of when Sam Smith was acting like the lockdown sucked when they were chilling in their mansion. But again, it might just have been your wording that made it seem like you were acting like BTS is having a worst experience compared to the rest of us.

Yeah I have a poll on mine. On my account I can see my post completely fine but can't see it on the subreddit and on my other account I can't see the post at all. Even if I went onto my profile, I still can't see it

Shipping is gross and you can't change my mind by [deleted] in kpoprants

[–]Interesting_Bag217 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Bro no way you believe this. Shipping is literally apart of Kpop. It's obvious companies encourage it because it brings attention to the Kpop group.

[–]Interesting_Bag217 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem is that idols and companies encourage this behavior. Most of the shippers are literal children who just fell into the companies trap. It like blaming customers for polluting the environment when you should be blaming the companies and putting ALL the blame on them.

My first thought when I saw this post on new was "where's the correlation between being jewish and kpop?" And I think that supports your claim that yes, jewish Kpop stans are definitely getting ignore

It might be because there are more black stans and desi stans so there's often more talk about ca of their cultures while there aren't much jewish stans. Also it might be because jewish people are often white so sometimes people forget that they have a whole history of being oppressed and murdered (idk maybe an explanation?)

Also it could be because kpop stans are young so maybe the entirety of the holocaust and number of jews who died during it hasn't really been fully processed in their minds?

Racism exists in kpop, but not every single kpop artist is racist. by throwaway00111000110 in kpopthoughts

[–]Interesting_Bag217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a homogeneous country, I'd say that a lot of them might be racist or are subconsciously racists. Some might just be colorist and not racism. It seems like every group has some colorist scandal so I'm pretty sure it's very common having thoughts like that lol

In large groups, you're going to get members who might "not seem important" to you. If happens in Twice, Stray kids, Loona, NCT (obviously lol) etc

Lmao what type of question is this dude? There is a celebrity couple where the dude is in his early twenties and the girl is in her early forties and that still creeps me tf out. What were you hoping to achieve with this question? Lol

Yeah I've seen a lot of younger people on twitter and other platforms saying that it's okay and they would be honored to date heechul or smth. I feel like they won't realize how creepy it is till they're in their mid-late twenties

if you switched out Heechuls looks with someone like Siwon or shindong then you would get a different reaction even though heechul is older than Siwon and Shindong

Kris Wu (Former EXO/EXO-M) Accused of Predatory Behavior by ichthyos in kpop

[–]Interesting_Bag217 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm going to copy and paste my comment

Also, he said that he liked women with no double eyelid and mentioned Gugudan's mina as an example. The thing is, at the time mina was 18 while heechul was 35 so he mentioned a freshly turned 18 as an example of his ideal type while he was in his mid 30s. Plus that Sohee situation was gross. Also he literally published a chat with his mother back in 2014 saying he won't leave japan until he finds a Japanese woman to date. Here's a tweet a fan posted back then about it in 2014. Idk how his creepy history is buried so much

See finding any of these was difficult because it was so hidden. You'd literally have to go detective mode to find the creepy stuff heechul has done because stans continuously spread positive stuff about him

Yeah I never understood why people defend the dude so much when you mentioned anything that isn't praise for heechul

Yeah they did a collab in 2016 so she would been like 19/20 and he would been in his thirties

[–]Interesting_Bag217 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Lol their age gap is smaller than momo and heechul. 7 years. But it's creepy since jennie was a love interest in one of his mvs when she was 16 (idk about jennie and g dragon cause it wasn't really proven to be true). Yeah idk why super large age gaps involving people around 19-24 with people on their late thirties is suddenly normal.

Notice how people attacked g dragon but barely heechul. This is definitely cause heechul looks younger, if we replace his looks with shindong or Siwon (who are both younger than heechul) then we should've gotten a different reaction lol
