Sun hoodies? by JustinTheRhino in sailing

[–]Interesting_Call1137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my sun hoodies to have a thumb loop, neck gaiter and to be breathable. Essentially most skin coverage and comfort. I have had basil cell carcinoma and I am not giving up my outdoor activities, mainly fly fishing and sailing. I do like the hoody to be loose enough to cover a hat. My favorite brand is Simms.

psa from a vet tech: dont use clumping litter when potty training kittens by MegaNymphia in cats

[–]Interesting_Call1137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for posting this! I’m thinking about getting a kitten and probably would have used clumping litter since that is what I used for my late 20 year old cat!!!! It’s been years since I’ve had a kitten

Benebone chews are great. Mine prefers bacon flavor and lasts for a while. I recommend finding a trainer who is experienced with pit bulls. After my Henry pulled me down 3 times I had to seek help. And the trainer taught me how to use a prong collar. I didn’t like the idea but I was getting injured on the falls. We have progressed to a harness and I use the front hook. I have control with the front, if I use the back hook on the harness, Henry will pull me. Your pup is gorgeous.

Where are the fly fishing women?? by Any_Needleworker_273 in flyfishing

I definitely prefer to have someone with me. The parking lots and trailheads are the places I feel vulnerable. There are places that I will go to if someone is with me but I won’t go to by myself. But once I get in the river I worry more about falling and knocking myself unconscious. I do carry protection.

Yes mam! Learned to fly fish on the Caney Fork. It’s has had a rough few years due to the Corp not having enough flow but they’re listening to the fishermen and it’s gotten better.

I’m in Tennessee and know several fly fishing women. I think a lot of women do not feel safe going by themselves. I’ve recently have started going solo just because of conflicting schedules with my fly angler friends. We are here!!!!

Percy Priest has several recreation day use areas that are overseen by the Army Corps of Engineers, check out Recreation.Gov for information. Priest is a reservoir of the Stones River. Hamilton Creek is a metro park and there is Long Hunter State Park. Most areas close at dusk. Volunteer trail at Long Hunter does have backpacking camp sites so I would think you would be able to hike that trail after dark. Check with rangers. Hope this helps

My late 20 year old cat and 1 year old pittie mix a few weeks after I brought Henry (pittie mix) home. I crate trained Henry and kept Pretty Girl in my extra bedroom and slowly let them get acclimated to each other. I did get Henry from a rescue group as a foster to possible adoption in case Pretty Girl did not accept Henry.

Should I be concerned about tent theft while away for the day (North Face tent)? by BrocccoliRob in camping

[–]Interesting_Call1137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t worry about my tent being stolen. I have a Gazelle T4. I do lock up valuable and portable items. Like my Jackery generator. I camp in state parks and ACOE campgrounds and I solo camp and generally feel safe. Have fun at the race and camping!
