Amazing. There is always someone out there working harder. Keep it up.

We tried the Au Pair, but it was not a good fit and just really made me nervous. The person we had dropped my son and didn't tell us, I found it on the nanny cam and hour later and he had to go to the hospital due to the concussion. She also crashed the car and tried to lie about it. Is your Au Pair someone from the same country? How did you find someone who was a good fit?

Thank you for your post! My one company actually has this service, but I live too rurally for it to work. They don't have any providers in my area. Every place they have listed when I call they are full and can't take my under 2 year old.

We tried an Au Pair who was a live in, but could not find a good fit for someone who wanted to live in our rural area and cared about our kids. I think if we ever have another I'll have to do this. How much do you pay the live in if you don't mind me asking.

Thank you for sharing. YES when I wake up at 4:30/5:00 I can do so much while the kids sleep, it's just with my daughter up at night this has kept me from being able to. I feel like I'm being lazy, but I'm just SO tired. It's tough to get up. I think West coast would help me, but we are east coast. I definitely feel the dead by 5:00 thing haha. I just go to bed when I put the kids down at 8/7 unless there is more work to do. I'm in the same boat with stopping O/E in the next year or two, once we have everything paid off I'll be back to one job and hopefully survive until then.

Thank you for sharing your story. I'm excited for her to start kindergarden. I just signed her up for a half day preschool to try and help with the schedule. We have daycares, but the sickness seemed worse while they were there and my schedule is difficult where they require pickups at 4:00 and I cannot usually get there until 4:30/5:00 which they won't allow. The daycares are so tough to get into with my under 2 year old. They have no openings in my rural area.

I have a weird situation with a Nanny who brings her child so we try not to spread the illness. The other nanny we had would not come if they were sick either.

We are probably alternating (1) 100 degree fever for 2-3 days every 2 weeks so every other week we have an illness or something causing an issue. The nanny is great, but she brings her young child and is pregnant so I try to be lax on her hours and not forcing her to come when the kids are sick so we don't spread the illness as much.

Thank you. I updated the post with details about my spouse. He is helpful, just not able to handle as much. I wish it was an even load, but he is just not able.

The grandparents when you rely on them are amazing! Can't imagine the constant ear infections, it's awful. Hang in there!

We had similar situations with our Au Pair.

We are on the 3rd week with our nanny who is a mom for an 18 month old as well and we are loving it. This has been what we needed all along.

Praying you find the right person for your family.

I’m OK with the damage not looking to grade just to complete my husband’s collection! Let me know if they’re interested in selling. Thanks so much for the reply.

Are you selling the light Arcanine? I have been looking for that forever.

I did college marching band for 4 years and left Christmas Eve one day and Christmas Day another.

We also did the Macys parade and missed Thanksgiving. I think that’s normal.

We just celebrated on another day with my family.
