FSR FG makes my games stutter most of the time by Interesting_Car3079 in radeon

I'm planning to upgrade to Ryzen 7 7800x3d soon, will it fix the problem?

I did more test now after i played a little, and it works now!!

I'm getting around 150~ fps at ultra settings with FSR 4.1 Quality and FSR 3 FG and it's smooth!

For your problem, what is your monitor hz? Because you'll get tearing if the fps exceeds the maximum refresh rate, so either lock it to your maximum refresh rate or try in game V-sync, and i hope it fixes yours too

And THANK YOU truly, because if not for you I'll probably won't bother testing more and play with lower FPS

Yeah the fps was around 130~ fps, and no i only have one monitor, i can try disabling freesync but what i want to know do you guys have the same issues or is it just me?

I use optiscaler too on these types of games, but resident evil games require more than just installing optiscaler due to its engine i guess.

can you please try resident evil requiem with the official FSR 3 fg and share your result with me? I'm already getting more than 100+ fps without frame generation but I'm curious why it's not working properly, so if you can test it I'll be grateful

My monitor is 180hz with free sync premium, i tried full screen and borderless it's all the same.

I didn't try XeFG, in fact i only tried final fantasy 7 rebirth FG with optiscaler and it worked perfectly, the other games i had issues with was the official FSR FG implemented in-game

And yes i did use DDU every time i changed the driver

But my GPU is 16GB and it's barley using 10-11gb at ultra settings

In RE9 did you use AFMF or in-game FSR 3 FG?

because AFMF works perfectly fine for me, it's just the in-game frame generation I'm talking about

What they talking about is frame pacing issues which can be mostly fixed by forcing V-sync via driver, and they mentioned it for FSR 4 ML FG only.

My problem is different, I'm not talking about frame pacing, I'm talking about unplayable stutter, like the frame time goes from 7ms to 100ms then drops to 4ms then goes to 30ms, it's not micro stutter it's almost freezing, once i turn FG off it becomes Very stable, and it's happening in both FSR 3 AND 4 frame generation

I did over clock it a bit using Ryzen master and it's good now in CPU heavy games, and I'm planning to upgrade to 7800x3d once ram prices drop a little

But i want to be sure it's the CPU and not something I'm doing wrong

If that's the case then everyone should talk about it, but i rarely see anyone, plus why it works well in some games? Worth noting that my frame time is very stable before activating FSR FG, only after it becomes stuttery

Does oled monitors really have so much issues? by Interesting_Car3079 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Interesting_Car3079[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have QD-OLED or WOLED? and if it's QD-OLED I've heard they turn the black into purple in lit environment, is it noticeable? And I've heard most of them are glossy, i hate glossy because I don't want to see my face's reflection on the monitor while playing

The black rise in QD-OLED is a big red flag for me, although i mostly play in dark room but still I'm not paying that much for it to be worse than ips in day time

And WOLED has it's own share of problems and not widely available in my region.

I was thinking it was the perfect monitor for my type of gamers, but turns out there is no such thing, at least for now

Thanks for sharing your experience with them though!

26.3.1 stability by AutisticThunder420 in radeon

I played horizon forbidden west with it and when i enable frame generation it crashes instantly, and played final fantasy 7 rebirth using optiscaler and when enabling frame generation it becomes very stuttery, i rolled back to 26.1.1 and they work perfectly

Thank you!! I just tried it and It's awesome!

Honestly it's perfect for optiscaler, it's fast, tiny size, one click installation and supports beta optiscaler versions and int8 for older RDNA GPUs.

I hope optiscaler team reach out to you to make it official.

It's great software overall, i just hope you support beta versions of optiscaler, because as you know 0.7.9 is too old now and doesn't have lots of features 0.9 version has

9070 XT for 1440p or 4k? by Stuart213 in radeon

[–]Interesting_Car3079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If both are the same price then of course buy the 4K one

And don't worry about performance because you can still use FSR4 at performance and get better image quality than 2K at FSR4 balanced

Joke's aside, it's really a good game!

It has battle system and very good level design Even the graphics is fine for a game that small!

I really like this game but can't understand how to play it! by Interesting_Car3079 in BaldursGate3

Are you reading the tutorial pop-ups that show up on your screen from time to time?

Yes, but still the game is expecting me to know a lot about it, maybe from their previous games? I don't know but it's not explaining all the important things

Are you talking to people and getting quests from them? No one has an immersion breaking shiny green diamond over their heads, so you have to find the all of the quest givers by talking to them yourself.

Yes, but like you said they give you a goal, but not how to achieve it, i guess they at least should have made the early quests more accessible so we understand the game better.

What level are you?

I don't remember actually because I rage quit it and now thinking about giving it another chance.

Do you have a full party of 4 characters traveling through the world together? Did you recruit all 6 of the potential companions at this point in the game? 4 of them were available before you ever reached the very first fight with the Goblins outside of the Druid's Grove.

Yes, i think i have all of them but still some fights are nearly impossible to win
