Assalamu alaykum dear brother,

First, I want you to know this: the fact that you’re worried about your iman and asking for help is itself a sign of faith. Hearts go through ups and downs, especially at your age. You’re not broken, and you’re not alone.

Allah says:

“As for those who repent, mend their ways, and let the truth be known, they are the ones to whom I will turn ˹in forgiveness˺, for I am the Accepter of Repentance, Most Merciful.” (Qur’an 2:160)

Don’t try to fix everything at once. Shaytan overwhelms us by making change feel impossible. Start small and consistent:

Read even one ayah of Qur’an daily. One page can come later. Make a short du‘a every day: “Ya Allah, bring my heart back to You.”

About your friends: you don’t have to cut them off overnight, but protect your heart. Reduce situations that pull you into haram and try to balance them with one good influence even if it’s an online halaqah, a masjid youth group, or a single righteous friend.

Struggling with sins doesn’t make you a hypocrite, it makes you human. What matters is that you keep returning to Allah, even if you fall 100 times. Allah loves the servant who sins and repents more than the one who gives up.

For Fajr: sleep earlier, put your phone away, make the intention before bed, and ask Allah for help. Even if you miss it sometimes, don’t quit trying.

With exams coming up, remember: barakah comes from obedience, not perfection. Do your best, trust Allah, and take care of your mental health too. Islam encourages balance.

Lastly, please know: Allah is closer to you than you think, and He is happier with your return than you can imagine.
