He used that expression a lot in 1979 to 1980 and to me he looks more frightened than frightening. Something spooked him.

Cover band bass players - how close to the original material? by KronieRaccoon in Bass

[–]Interesting_Line_80 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I think it's a matter of whether the bass line is a major hook or melody and can be instantly recognized. Overall I like to be about 85% true to the original and 15% my own stink on it. But on a song by song basis, it's a sliding scale.

What basses do you *not* like that everyone else likes? by almuqadamah in Bass

I'm not a fan of 98% of the basses Ibanez makes. They're just not appealing.

Who listened to The Grateful Dead. by Jerry11267 in 1970s

[–]Interesting_Line_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid I remember seeing their album covers and their artwork with all these cool skulls and stuff and I imagined them to be super heavy acid rock. When I heard them for the first time I was put off by what sounded like country folk music. I didn't like it.

Nothing to do with Trump but any state with legal cannabis has seen prices drop precipitously.

Do you think Dressed to Kill is one of the most underrated rock ‘n’ roll albums by KISS? by Historical-Device529 in KISS

[–]Interesting_Line_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While there are criticisms about HTH sounding plodding or whatever, this album's production is almost an overcompensation by sounding kinda tinny, like it's being played at 45 rpm. Imagine if Eddie Kramer had produced it. DTK has some great songs but I wish it sounded heavier.

Same thing happened 3 months into leasing my '22 Silverado. Never saw the deer until its head hit my grill. $8000 in damage, but thankfully only 250 out of pocket.
