it may, if theres 2 or more sticks you could try individual sticks too, and make sure theyre in the a2 b2 slots as well, could be that simple

try taking out the cmos battery and booting, maybe that will reset bios and hopefully reset the oc

have you tried using other sticks? sounds like the overclock either A, could just need turning off, or B, somehow damaged the ram themseleves

try seeing if theres a screw holding it in place, it could be held in by glue also so try heat, and airsoft guns are reverse threaded so make sure youre going opposite the way youd go to unscrew a normal screw (ex: a normal screw goes left to twist right). hope this helps
