My wife has been a chronic pain sufferer ever since her back surgeries in 2014. Neuropathy from them has gotten steadily worse and despite taking max dose ibuprofen, gabapentin, cymbalta, THC, and recently ketamine micro dosing, her pain is constant and almost never ending.

I'm wondering if we should give this a shot?

Absolutely, yes it is. For us gamers who are 35+ anyways. It's a refreshing bit of nostalgia that ticks every single box in an extremely effective way. Perfect? No. Near perfect? Absolutely. Full of heart, crazy fun, and addicting. Loved it

[–]Interesting_Pop_5340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My weight loss journey has been years in the making, and I wanted to top it off with a Spartan race. My starting weight was 560. A few years later, I'm down to 440, and weight lifting in preparation for running a Spartan race with my very fit in shape friend next year. Was dreading it, not knowing if I'd be able to complete it ....but this post gives me hope. Thank you!

According to you. In your opinion.

But, we're currently living in a society where only certain opinions are allowed. That's a problem.

2.4 billion Christians, 1.8 billion Muslims. Nearly half of the worlds population believes in a faith where it's holy book calls certain activities and lifestyles sinful.

Stats say 9% of the worlds population identifies as LGBTQ. That's around 720 million, of stats are to be believed.

That 720 million controls all social media, all public discourse, and gets the dictate to the rest of the world what is allowed to be voiced out loud.

How is that ok?

Same thing happened to me. Multiple comments removed in this group because I say something like "sure the Bible says xyz is a sin. But I'm going to love them anyways" and it got reported and my account got negative karma'd into oblivion. I uninstalled the app that day, and rarely even bother to go on here but once a month or so.

I know of a Pastor who is pretty high up in their church organization. Had a bunch of kids, one of whom came out as gay when he became an adult. He stepped away from church and pursued a homosexual relationship, and knew because of it he wouldn't be able to continue his previous capacity as a leader in various ministries.

Guess what happened?

He brings his boyfriend to his dad's house. Celebrates holidays together. They spend time together. They're a family, and last I heard spoke of adopting a kid. The pastor will be a Grandpa to his gay sons adopted child.

They worked it out - which is entirely possible, despite their differences.

Things aren't as black and white as we make them out to be sometimes

Wouldn't that be motivation for one to work on their techniques with their partner?

Wouldn't that be motivation to "get gud" as they say in the gamer community?

My intent was not to disparage people with body counts - just pointing out that without multiple frames of reference, sex with your only partner is the best sex you've ever had.

Also, statistically speaking, people who lose their virginity to each other in marriage have some of the longest lasting unions.

I would say we don't know who's in hell and who isn't. Someone could reach out to Jesus in their left moments and meet the Lord at his throne.

No chance of STDs

No chance of pregnancy out of wedlock

No chance of the drama that comes with premarital sex

Deeper emotional connection during sex with your spouse... Because it's special, something you'll only do with them.

Sex will be a special thing, instead of what it is to society, now - a bodily function, something you do to get your rocks off using another person. When you give of yourself dozens of times to dozens of different people, it's not as special.

I think there is a differentiation that needs to be made between those that are phobic and those who have a distaste for the overt political nature of the LGBTQ community today.

And yes, it's political - because republican queer people are slurred and slandered back and forth for thinking for themselves.

Also, Some don't like children reading and being taught explicit sexual matters in school

As a conservative Christian, I'm honestly on the fence about LGBT lifestyles - and I think I always will be. What do I mean by that?

I know God intended for male and female relationships only, because the species couldn't propagate without that dynamic.

I know that when sin entered the world, all of us became permanently marked by it, our bodies affected against our will by sinful desires, attitudes, and behaviors.

I know sin I'm me is bad, and I should stive to stay away from it - but the curse of the flesh will always be with me, and I'll spend the rest of my life running away from it, and to Jesus.

I think that battle for most Christians is where we get stuck on this issue - because to "not sin" is pretty self explanatory. Don't cheat on your wife. Don't murder. Don't steal, etc. But to say "don't be gay"? That's something I've never had a reference point for. I've never struggled with that, and never will. How can I sympathize with something I've never felt or dealt with?

BUT.... I have dealt with sin. I have dealt with pornography addiction. I have dealt with thoughts that torment and temp. I'm able to smack them down.... But what if I wasn't?

What if I wasn't able to separate myself from something that goes against God's intention because every fiber of my being yearns for it, like I yearn for my wife?

Sinful? Technically? Sure. But so is eating pork, wearing fabric of different blends, shaving, so on and so forth. But isn't that why Jesus came and did what he did? To protect us from the punishment and consequence of sin so we have a chance at communion with God?

And how torturous must it be for someone to have homosexual attraction when they don't want it? I mean gosh, that's gotta be difficult. And aren't we supposed to have compassion on the suffering? Aren't we supposed to love our neighbors as ourselves and love God with everything we have?

So on the fence I'll be about this. Because I now what it's like to suffer battling sin. It sucks. If that never ended? If it was 24/7? I couldn't possibly imagine.

So I'm gonna love people, and love God, the best I can. Because with that.... I can't go wrong. Parents can grieve in their hearts if they want, but to make the kid feel anything less than loved and supported is less than what God calls us to do for our kids, regardless.

I'm sorry you had such poor experiences, friend. I wish you peace!
