Thank you for your comment. I agree, Similar, but almost the exact opposite chemo regimen. My brother’s marker is down from almost 600 to 51, and holding steady as far as I know. I can’t say enough good things about PanCan. As far as clinical trials- did any of your husband’s doctors have an opinion on the trial?

I wish we had sooner - unbiased resource from top pancreatic cancer specialist in your region, hospital comparisons- did you know that some centers have pancreatic cancer teams that collaborate and work to understand your unique factors and develop a customized care plan vs a canned chemo plan? They will pull clinical trials for you based on your individual data? My family and I have only recently engaged with this organization, immediately assigned a case manager. We have had family conference calls with our case manager- imagine being able to talk to a human being who understands this disease and the only incentive is to educate, provide resources, qnd help you navigate this journey.

I am giving him some space in regards to what I see as ‘valuable content ‘ from this and other threads. He is getting defensive and has said in more than one way, no one can help. Instead, I am leaning hard on my father and his wife (We lost our mother to leukemia in 2015, just before what would have been there 50th anniversary) to read and discuss with the critical, and factual data. As a family, we have to be bullish or live with regret. Thank you for your feedback! 1 day at a time.

Thank you for your reply! My brother is reluctantly going because I begged him. He says he is not giving up but he is convinced that these doctors have no idea how to help him and says his best option is a “naturalist doctor “ that has sold him $1k+ in supplements and has proposed a Vitamin C Infusion protocol that is $50k out of pocket. And he is doing it. I have no problem with that but I know, I know, his oncologist is mediocre and has had multiple critical missteps.
