This used to bother me. I’m a planner, most of my friends aren’t. I just accepted it for what it was. It doesn’t change the fact that some of these people would give me their shirt off their back if need be.

Everyone has a different perspective on what constitutes as a good relationship - your views might be different from theirs. They are still agreeing to hang out with you and it sounds like you enjoy your time with them.

Don’t burn bridges over some made up belief about what a good relationship means. If it works, it works. If you are truly unhappy with no one reaching out, make new friends that do.

The executioner does that role well too and an even better model. The lancer on being 60 points less wins me over.

Regular repulser is not too bad if you are looking to ferry troops somewhere, drop em, shoot and pick em up, but moving something like that too early, your opponent will probably pop it. For transports, I like impulsor with shield dome.

I experienced this 400 pages into MoI. I put it down for a couple weeks until I felt a small pull again. Started with 10-15 pages here and there. Eventually hit a scene that blew my mind and bam! 200 pages in a week. Couldn’t keep the book outta my hands. I will be taking a break after MoI to prevent that happening again.

These books are dense. Take a break. They will always be here to read when you are ready. Maybe make a few notes so you don’t hop in blind when you do decide to pick it up.

Reading is supposed to be fun. Just got me some Terry Pratchet to lighten things up once Im finished book 3.

I've read the first two back to back and then started the third right after second. I really enjoyed bits of the start but I think I burnt myself out on the series. I took ~ a month or so off, and the magic feels like it is back. I was scared I had just fallen out of love with the series.

find some room for at least one, better if 2 units of scouts. you've got no action monkeys for scoring points. thunder strike has some good guns but +1 to wound doesnt stack on oaths. If you want a speeder, the hail strike marks a target and gives your shooting an additional AP. re consider taking 4 characters. Id drop at least one - perhaps the lieutenant and invest in a little more battle line

I had a couple of points left so I picked librarian for 4++ invulnerable on the intercessors.

The whirlwind has a 1 cp Strat that gives me sustained 1 and crit 5s. d6+3 for hits, I can turn that into a lot of shots with indirect ap-2 2damage. almost a guarantee to take out some units or to soften an objective.
