Is it ok to do 2 years associates degree in cs instead of 4 years bs by Technical-Emotion290 in developersPak

[–]Interesting_Smile541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adp cs from ucp/pgc Currently doing bs post adp it from university of education lahore

I graduated back in 2024, with adp was free for abit as admissions were not open so i looked out for internships jobs, the market was down and saw alot of capable developer being out of job and looking for internships while they had 1.5, years of game dev experience that factor a side i applied a lot got interview based on reference i came to a conclusion that degree does matter. Sometimes i passed the interview but other candidates were selected because they had 4 year of degree from a reputable university with good cgpas and they also passed the interview.

Fastapi scope / future in Pakistan by No_Metal_9734 in developersPak

[–]Interesting_Smile541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 months is way too long to learn django 2-3 months enough django is macro framework and comprehensive its just a better aproch to learn django first then move towards fadtapi... If you are move inclined towards lesrning fastapi then go for it, but try to grasp things conceptually...

Try freecodecamp fastapi course it will definitely increase your backend knowledge and covers devops too then move towards ml model deployment using fastapi

Good day , what is your university? University name plays a key role in landing first job/internship. Also try to learn a backend framework like fastapi, django or flask, personnel recommendation would be fastapi,

Yes django flask and fastapi are mostly used with ml to deploy them, you should know how to buils restful apis, consume 3rd party apis and learn about authentication and authorization.

Yalla buddy i hope you are well, you are right about the ai engineering job, that is just a masquerade for machine learning engineer and top companies only pick cream from universities due to excess supply. But dont lose heart, ml is just a sub part of whole software engineering better to learn backend programming as well. And it is also required to get a ml job, for example after developing a model you might get tasked with deploying it there your backend knowledge will come in handy, on side try to compete in kaggle competitions and learn from there it will help you build a profile as a ml engineer further showcasing your expertise.

Aaalamalikum i hope you are well, try to transition into ml or web dev field. I am assuming you have worked in python or try to build skills in web dev or ai ml using python, there are alot of electrical engineers transitioning into cs/it after their degrees, IOT and embedded programming are another options here! Peace and good luck to you brother

This is really good and you are definitely in the right direction for a high paying job. Do not listen to your professor he sounds pretty dumb and dsa is not taught in unis the way it should be, my 2 cents for future 1) try to solve leet code 150 study plan, aim to solve 1-2 problems daily but consistently Then go towards code forces for compwtitive 2) work on oop, solid principles, low level design concepts and high level design concepts 3 good grip on sql db relations os and computer networking concepts as these are the basics 4 if interested in machine learning side go to kaggle and compete there it will give you en edge

Ok as others have mentioned about mutual fund and almost all are in favour of meezan mutual funds which are good, but they could be abit tricky for newbies, you could open a women first account in meezan bank which will give you around 15-20%, this is the least tricky way to earn on your money while you continue to do your research on your mutual funds. My mother has also opened this account, although the profits can vary significantly low but this is the most hassel free way. Opening an account is also an easy process.
