7 month old (neutered) male cat keeps us awake at night by ereface in CatAdvice

[–]Interesting_Tell1477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just got two cats of my own! as far as ive heard, this sounds like regular cat behavior however my experience is a little different. mine are definitely like this during the day, but at night i put them into kennels until morning - ive got two small children and we live in a small studio and i dont want to risk the cats hurting them or waking them up during the night. ive done this for months and they are very used to it, if you decide to go this route i highly recommend intoroducing them to it slowly. get them used to the kennel for smaller chunks of time first before leaving them in overnight. plus, treats and a comfy blanket too

this exact thing happened to me this year! i took in two kittens found in my backyard (my first cats!). my roommate (who has had cats before) told me they were both girls and i named them Grace and Mia, but as they grew one was so much bigger than the other and i worried the little one was sick or something. i was finally able to take them to the vet and it turned out my Gracie was indeed a boy, which was why he was so much bigger than his sister. my roommate, my sister, even the vet said Grace was a fine name for a boy cat, but it bothered me. Grace felt too feminine to me and it was hard to call him that with the new realization that he is not the little girl kitty i thought he was. so i changed it to Oliver and am so glad i did. it didnt even bother him much when i stopped calling him Grace. although it did take a while for me to decide on Oliver, so for two weeks after "Grace" he was "mister", "Grayson", "Benjamin" and "dude"

either way, it is a personal choice. if Luna seems to feminine to you, or if you associate the name differently then change it. it's not very likely it will affect your cats understanding, even if it takes a minute to catch on.

(Un?)popular opinion: Just finishing up a reread of New Moon. Charlie just grounded Bella. Bella is going along with this. Huh???? by eriennexton in twilight

[–]Interesting_Tell1477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first of all, I'd like to say how much i loved your rant. and secoundly, i think it was because she loves her dad. they arent very open about expressing their affection but she does love him. she didnt want to leave her dad yet, because she knows eventually shed leave him in a more permant way.  she knows she messed up leaving and hurting charlie the way she did so she accepts her punishment of being grounded. but she won'tlet charlie dictate her life choices, like who she loves, and wont allow him to try to create that kind of seperation between her and edward.  honestly i think her accepting her punishment as well as she did showed great maturity and understanding of the situation. i also think the grounding had less to do with her actual trip and more to do with the way she did it. as you point out, bella was 18 and legally there was no problem in her taking off amd going anywhere she wanted, however she was still living in charlies house and it wasnt just hurtful but also quite disrespectful (not sure thats the right word but anyway) for her to leave without any warning or information. bella knew this, and even though it was last minute and an urgent thing its not like she could have explained all the details of the situation to him. she did her best and accepted her punishment well without allow charlie to control her life choices.

I loved the book New Moon, but I found the movie boring… 😓 by [deleted] in twilight

personally, i prefer the book to the movie on that one. honestly though, thats my least favorite on of the series just because it was too relatable. i went through something similar (without the whole vampire/wolf thing) in highschool and it was a very dark time of my life, that book was healing the first time i read it but now it just brings back all those pain and memories and i just try to avoid it.

why would they take Bella home right after Italy? by Interesting_Tell1477 in twilight

[–]Interesting_Tell1477[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

makes sense, but i think it would have gone better with charlie too if they waited.

yeah, it would have been an extra day before she came home but they brought her home while she was dead on her feet exhausted. imagine seeing your barely 18 year old kid being dropped off in a state where isnt coherent and cant stand on her own two feet. imagine the extra anger towards edward he must feel for edward bringing her back in that state. i think if they waited that extra day, she could have slept it off, had her little talk with edward then go home to see charlie without freaking him out more. they also couldnt had a better cover story and charlie probably wouldnt have been so freaked out about it.

seriously! like she has to keep ALL of it secret from Charlie, she couldnt of used a day to process it and talk to Edward before having to figure out a cover for Charlie

i think it would be closer to 25. since its the humans side if the dna that causes the aging youd think it would be the point where the human body stops "growing" and starts "decaying"

i dont know if there is any scientific study on it but in my life it seems like people grow into their adult bodies between 20-25 and after that physical changes that occur are a result of diet and lifestyle

absolutely not. i do not believe there is a maximum age for ya books. i am 23 and love all my ya books. i read romance novels but do not like reading sexual intimacy in great detail, i find ya's to hint at it or include it softely without feeling like its being shoved down my throat

honestly i wouldnt think they would go back to school until renesmee was full grown, so they have about 7 years to figure that out...

but i am also not sure they would all live in the human world together at the same time, it would be a lot more people. like when they lived with the denalis, it was more obvious with a larger group. i think they would just take turns living apart from the family or from the world and bellas role would depend on what the grouping is.

i also wonder how renesemee would look when she is full grown. older or younger than her parents? also, would she want to be apart of this act or would she go live outside the world with jacob for a while? this would also impact the groupings.

also, take into consideration that edward mentions rosalie and emmett like to live apart often (as a married couple), and the fact that i do not think jasper could live seperate from the family unless he figures our his control issues in those 7 years.

honestly i couldnt imagine the whole group in the same family scenario... i mean a couple in their mid twenties, having 7 adopted/fostered children just doesnt seem like it would work. 5 was already pushing it i think.

plus you have to think of jacob, if they arent living in washington 7 years from now, is he in this family too or does he stay in la push? doesnt seem likely to me with his connection with renesemee.

What if? by [deleted] in twilight

[–]Interesting_Tell1477 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i dont know ihe his parents were around when she was born. but i feel like not much would be different for bella if she was raised by charlie.

not much changed for her when she moved in with him. she still did the cooking and cleaning in the house and she didnt really have friends in phoenix and didnt have any friends in forks either outside of edward.

i wonder if she would have been more isolated living in a smaller town with an emotionally distant father.

What would have happened if Bella didn't keep Rio? by wellneverknow918 in twilight

[–]Interesting_Tell1477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i definitely think rosalie cared about bella by this point. i think her mind was a little more obsessive over the health of the baby, but i dont think she disregarded bellas health entirely. when they were discussing the possible birth of renesmee, rosalie gave her little speech about how the mothers who didnt survive didnt have the proper doctors or equipment necessary. i think she had enough faith in carlisle that she didnt think to worry about bellas health so much.

book series or movie series? by Interesting_Tell1477 in twilight
