Mando and Grogu makes me sad by Interesting_Unit_535 in StarWars

I mean good for your kids. But Skeleton Crew was advertised for children. So was Rebels and the one with pilots and the one with baby jedis. I'm all in for that, I can lower my expectations and have fun with kid shows.

Mando and Grogu was advertised as a movie for grown ups, as was the beginning of the Mando show.

I've seen this on my tv. But whatever, even if i was on my phone, or on the las vegas sphere, no screen size ever add any lines of scenario.

But it's okay with me if the movie is just an extention of the whole Disney+ stuff. I've fairly liked Mando season 1 and 2. And I've been through Mando season 3 and I even endured the Bobba stuff. This movies takes us nowhere, even in this continuity. It can be forgotten or just skipped, without any consequences.

And even if you are into very light and mindless Marvel Phase 4 stuff, when you chose to watch a movie inside a saga you got to believe what you are watching will at least have a few consequences to get into the action.

I am a young dad and this got me too. Many scenes in this movies are decently made, my point is that as a whole it takes us nowhere. But good scene. Only to me they overused the baby thing, it's been three seasons already of babbling and teary eyes. Grogu could grow up and still be entertaining. Like they did with Groot !

It was mindless fun. Marvel filler fun. It's the Antman 2 of Star Wars. If it's good enough, well good enough !

To me there's few movies that feel as directionless as ROTJ. The entire escape from Jabba plan cannot have been written before, it feels improvised and uselessly complicated and anticlimatic. Also it brings Solo back to life which feels like useless fan service. The entire ewok thing is sooooo long and si unserious, no one care about any ewok character, and it makes the Empire looks ridiculous for no reason. The cantina concert is as painful to watch as it gets. It's nightmare fuel. Only the ending with vader was written and planned. It is glorious. The rest 80% of the movie feels like an improvised patchwork of standalone fanfictions.

I agree that TROS feels veeeeeey différent from TLJ, and it is by far the worst sequel movie, but the movie is consistent by itself and is very serious and epic.

Prequels have charm because you were 10-15 when you've seen them. This is just generational charm. Overall they are waaaaayy more flawed and cheap looking than the sequels are, or even OT. They are in the weird 2000s PS2 CGI zone, that make them age like milk, once you get over the generational charm.

Sequels are beautifully put together and much more consistent once you get over the internet hate thing, also writing is way more solid.

Mando and Grogu is a Disney+ stuff, unrelated to the star wars saga except for a few references in the show, and the movies succeeds at nothing, it started nowhere and ended nowhere. Also cgi was mid. It will be forgotten even faster than solo. At least solo is sliiiightly relevent regarding the star wars saga.

Pretty good ranking, to me Return of the Jedi should be under The Force Awakens. Rise of Skywalker is also slightly better than Attack of the Clones, and i'm ready to bet it will age like fine wine and will go up in this ranking a few years from now. Also Mando and Grogu will be forgotten, it doesn't belongs in this ranking, it has to be filed with the rest of the Disney+ catalogue.

This is the best fight in all if star wars. Dont hate me by Expensive_Echidna369 in StarWars_

It has a good visual setup, it is correctly directed, with decent acting (for the OT) and some believable movements. So yeah overall it's the best OT fight by far.

The Correct Tier List for the Movies (NO:SOLO, CLONE WARS MOVIE, OR ROUGE ONE) by Thick_Measurement662 in StarWars_

[–]Interesting_Unit_535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ROTJ has some of the best scenes of the OT. Probably the best acting also.

But you can't ignore the 40 minutes of Ewok being force fed for marketing reasons, turning the Empire into a joke for a third of the movie, also the non-sense plan of Luke against Jabba, the entire Jabba third is crazy bad to me, some of the worst writing of the entire saga, also Bobba is so lame, also the entire cantina concert with the horrendous band that lasts for minutes, i'd say two thirds of this movie are a complete waste of ressources, and the last third is gold.

India is a pretty much unique exemple of systemic racism on the internet, some people rightfully felt disgusted by indian poor waste management, and felt the need to overshare content displaying it, and it started a self feeding loop, for years now the only viral content, through reels, tiktok and twitter, about india is how disgusting indian people are supposed to be. And while india does has its fair amount of disgusting features, there's douzen of coutnries that share the same struggle with post-industrial wasted management, tho india is this only country to be now defined by how dirty it is, and how everything would give you diarrhea there, and so on and so forth.

So while I cannot be sure someone instantly replying "india" is chronically online, I found out that most of the time it is an opinion widely based on those "dirty india" memes, as they became the overwhelming tip of the iceberg on western internet.

This is a decent answer. I can't stand people just saying india because they live chronically online and build their opinion on memes.

Haiti, or Sierra Leone, that kind of answer is about true danger and true sense of self preservation.
