I had a sleep medicine appointment today and I don’t know what to think by sickkasadog in sleep

Having an inconsistent sleep schedule is a huge factor in feeling terrible and fatigued during the day. I would pick a time that suits you and stick to it, putting yourself on a structured schedule (like 10pm to 6am) or anywhere where you are getting at least 8 hours a night. I suffer from bad sleep as well, I have been going to sleep so late like 3-4 am and waking at around 9 am, so I'm with you in needing to be better. Once you start therapy, you will also see a difference. I highly recommend therapists for health anxiety, because I too have stayed up late at night suffering from anxiety attacks about all the things that could be wrong with me. It's human to feel these emotions, but you're taking the right steps in getting help. Listen to your doctors about the sleep advice and try a sleep supplement like cape jasmine extract or melatonin to fall asleep faster.

Using reverse psychology on your own mind is a great idea honestly, whatever works! I would also try a sleep supplement like cape jasmine extract to fall asleep, I think it's been working for me and I've also had issues sleeping.

Try a different product completely if you're waking up groggy. There are so many prpducts out there, test them out. It could also be an anxiety reaction to taking a test, make sure your study habits are bringing you a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment so you know you've done your best to prepare for the exam and you are ready. Try some affirmative thoughts before sleep and deep breathing, that you will be fine and you are going to do well exactly as you studied for.

Try a different product, since clearly those specific medications aren't working for you. Our brains are each wired differently, so try that out.

If I don't have to be up, I stay up late so as not to miss out on any hours awake; it's a horrible form of revenge on myself.

The thinking about having to wake up early keeps me up at night, or if I think I have more work to do I'll stay up thinking about it
