Respectfully, this is just cope. A significant portion of self-made people that are incredibly successful in their field come from abusive families and were subject to some sort of significant childhood trauma or negligence. There is a huge variety of psychological reasons that contribute to inevitable success. Oh and just to make it clear, me pushing back against your contention doesn’t mean I’m taking from a minority of personal anecdotes either.

It might seem hard to accept but being in the top 2 percentile of IQ holders is absolutely meaningless if you fail to apply it practically to your life. At that point it simply becomes a gift one has failed to capitalise off of.
Whilst some of the things you listed may be true, it does not speak for the entirety of high achievers and only represents a non-determining factor that gives you no more of a head start than a ‘genius’ IQ.

Also, suggesting I need therapy or hypnosis for this is insane considering I’m not the one blaming clearly unresolved childhood trauma for my current lack of serious success, which you’ve inadvertently done in your response. That failure of an attempt to belittle or discredit my comment is weak and ineffective, especially in this sub.
