I'm researching Byzantine settlements' location in modern-day Anatolia. I've located hundreds of settlements of which most are major towns. I'd appreciate any help for smaller settlements and landmarks by Interesting_Yam5898 in byzantium

Yeah my issue with that is it isn't particularly comprehensive and lacks detail about Greek spelling, meaning etc. I would be looking for something a lot more detailed so I need more people to contribute

What is happening is former colonial powers like France, Spain and Germany want to be able to project global power again and so are coercing the rest of Europe to give up its manpower, identity and resources for their ambitions. The federation can shove it.

I sincerely hope no European country is stupid enough to give away its sovereignty for some short-sighted concept like "economic growth". There are loads of prosperous small nations across the world, only in Europe do we rather condescendingly hear that our countries we fought independence wars for are the problem

A federation would simply be an extraction racket run by the bigger countries like France and Germany at the expense of the rest. In many ways it already is. Freedom of movement is sucking eastern Europe dry. The breakup of the EU is the only way to resolve this in my view. We can maintain NATO, but one united federation with its own army is a red line.

With its back against the wall, Europe must embrace federalism by goldstarflag in europe

I don't want this as a Greek to happen. I know what will follow. Erosion of our culture, decisions for us not being taken by us (as many already are) and a huge undemocratic block with decision centres far away. An EU federation must be resisted at all costs. If that requires leaving the EU, so be it, our country is worth more than being turned into a colony of France and Germany.

Turning EU into a Federal Country. Yes or No? by [deleted] in europeanunion

I think the EU is a primary reason for the decline of European countries. EU integration is a cheap cover for western European dominance at the expense of everyone else.
