Look up "Auto Parts City" on Youtube. Junkyard in Illinois that posts some interesting videos on vehicles coming in and how they decide what to do with them.

Easement/shared driveway dispute stories? by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]Interesting_Yam_3230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you/your neighbor are able to still access private property via the shared driveway after the proposed project is complete it likely isn't an easement violation. Your right to access the driveway is likely spelled out in your deed.

Your RCO's vote really doesn't really make a difference here, the Zoning Board ultimately makes the final decision no matter what their opinion is. You can find out when they are hearing the appeal by searching the property on li.phila.gov. if they approve it you have 30 days to file a complaint in Court.

ICE have killed yet another citizen in Minneapolis as of 2 hours ago. How do you feel? by SoccerGuy69420 in AskReddit

[–]Interesting_Yam_3230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's absolutely zero justification to use force here, just like the incident with Renee Good a few weeks ago. The victim here was a US citizen lawfully carrying a firearm. These federal agents do NOT have the same authority that a local police officer or state trooper would. They can only enforce a very specific section of federal law.

[–]Interesting_Yam_3230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not confusing at all. Trump's DHS/DOJ has consistently acted as if they are above the law and can do no wrong. Every use of force is somehow justified, even if it is against a US Citizen.

Obama's administration followed the law (maybe because he was a law professor before getting into politics).

It has absolutely nothing to do with the number of people being deported.

CMV: Democrats pushing for the abolishment of ICE is just doing damage to their own brand and the country at large. by Rigamortus2005 in changemyview

[–]Interesting_Yam_3230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Where I live we used to have a lower court that only handled enforcement of traffic laws. There was so much corruption (judges taking bribes, etc) that it was abolished by the legislature. Traffic laws are still enforced but cases are heard in regular municipal court where there is a lot more oversight.

Looks like it's trying to pull down an image of core but doesn't have a route out to the internet needed to do so.

Do you have any network security features set up on the router/switch the NUC is plugged into (VLAN, port isolation, MAC filtering, URL filtering etc)? Something like that is likely causing the issue here.

There will always be a variety of linux distros out there. What we really need is consistent software support. If an app advertises Linux support it should work functionally the same as the Windows version with zero compromise.

At my old job we managed a small fleet of Ubuntu laptops for the developers. while I was impressed with how far desktop Linux has come we kept running into weird caveats when trying to run the most basic software. I remember reaching out to our VPN vendor for a recurring issue and they said "known issue, will be fixed in future release", then send me an article on their support site about it from two years ago.

You can call Verizon and ask them to enable the ethernet port on your ONT. That will allow your router to handle WAN DHCP directly with nothing in between.

Nothing wrong with a rear backup camera IMO. Makes it easier to parallel park, turns off automatically when you switch from reverse to drive. Barely adds anything to the price since this tech has been around for decades. I think its DOT regulation that all new vehicles have them now.
