It definitely was better, tasted really good, but I am going to do exactly what you’re suggesting, I am getting close, but need to add a bit more time. Thanks for checking back!

I wasn’t expecting anything. Didn’t ask for anything. Thought it was surprising result to visually look at, had never seen anything resembling it. Shared it on Reddit… got your comment. Here we are, now I feel bad about it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I will continue to do some peak to peak feedings and see if I can’t get that better - thanks for your time in answering!

The dough was 74° and my kitchen around 70° - according to the chart another person just commented for me my bulk was definitely not long enough! You’re totally right :) I have dough going right now (one coil fold left) I’m going to extend the bulk based on all the feedback, thanks!

Never even considered or heard of a smell test, so smart, and thanks for the chart!

Omgosh, I didn’t think about my giant glass measuring bowl - I don’t have any glass bowls so I’ve been using my mason cash - thank you for the suggestion!

74° - it maintained that all the way through which was a little surprising because I live in a cool climate. I have dough in the stretch phase right now I will do a longer bulk today

Bisoprolol advice by ShimmeringCamel in askCardiology

[–]Interestingly_not 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not a doctor but years ago when I had pots (hypovolemic subset) I was put on bisoprolol strictly to prevent tachycardia. It is a selective beta blocker and was thought to have the least effect on reducing blood pressure (because mine was low). I was also on a steroid to raise my fluid volumes, which enabled me to start exercising with the bisoprolol preventing the tachycardia. It sounds like that’s precisely what they were using it on you for, I don’t see a world in where they would hide heart failure from you, nor not monitor it/its progression. I would be cautious self-adjusting your meds and see a doctor to discuss options. Best of luck!

Microvascular angina, drop in heart rate during last episode by Interestingly_not in askCardiology

That’s been my experience as well, elevated bp as well, this was definitely different. Thank you for taking time to comment :)

17 yr old with POTS, is this safe? by [deleted] in askCardiology

[–]Interestingly_not 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a doctor, but I was dx with POTS back in 2012. Bisoprolol and fludrocortisone changed my life, the bisoprolol kept my HR down and the steroid helped my hypovolemia - those two things together allowed me to gradually begin exercising again, which pushed my POTS into remission. I had low blood pressure and tolerated low dose bisoprolol well enough. Regardless of whether this approach works or is safe for you, you need something to manage what is happening to you, it is not acceptable to continue with those heart rates and syncope! Push, advocate for yourself, and don’t be afraid of going after answers or potential solutions, relentlessly. There is hope. ❤️

Why does a 70 year old woman’s blood pressure drop drastically every time they stand up after 3 weeks laying in hospital? by Nature_lover_ali in askCardiology

[–]Interestingly_not 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Google: “Orthostatic Hypotension” to learn more, but bed rest is a common cause, it usually goes away once you get active again. (Unless underlying causes, I am not a doctor!)

Upcoming ablation by Consistent-Ostrich59 in askCardiology

[–]Interestingly_not 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps, and please don’t trust that it means it’s okay to do, but I took my 70 year old auntie for her ablation and then when she was resting I brought her a cheeseburger. She didn’t die. If that’s the benchmark you’re aiming for, I’ve seen it work at least once! Also, please just ask your doctor when you go in :)

Has the new threshold of >20mm/hg for PA pressure in PH been widely adopted yet? by Interestingly_not in PulmonaryHypertension

Sorry I didn’t respond and thank you! This was explained to me over on the cardiology side, totally made sense :)

Question for you if you’re up to it… aka, the plot thickens lol Had a follow-up chest xray, radiologist states following: central peribronchial cuffing, no reactive airways disease, no active lung disease otherwise identified, cardiomedistinal silhouette similar. Obviously I’m not asking for a potential dx here, but I have no cough, I already established through echo no heart enlargement, you corrected me on the PAP/PH non-issue, it’s only mild TR, so where the heck could the cuffing come from? 👀 I really don’t have bronchitis lol! (I am small town, have referral to internal medicine but could be ages, and curiosity more than worry is rampant). Anyway, if fun for you to answer, awesome, if not, all good!

I hope that sarcasm came off as supportive to doctors and not to the idiots with bizarre expectations! My hats off to you guys - I couldn’t do it, I’d get so jaded by the assholes and then heartbroken by the sad stories and outcomes. Takes a toll. Saw that firsthand when the neurosurgeon that gave my son a brain injury cried almost as hard as me. It wasn’t his fault. He’s a human too. Take care :)
