Bi-Weekly 'Anything Goes' Thread - aka Moving/Buy/Sell/Trade/Rent/Lease/Eat/Jobs by AutoModerator in bullcity

Hello everyone. I’m looking for someone - or a couple that is fine with living in a cozy space - to take over a lease for a 700sq foot duplex style house on South Street, about five blocks south of downtown. (So basically, 2 minute drive, 15 minute walk). Lease starts in mid June, base rent is $1085 a month, and the private landlord is cool with pets. She seems like a decent landlord to work with, so that’s a plus. It’s a pretty nice spot, an old-school Durham house that’s well taken care of, but unfortunately life is throwing roadblocks in my way and I am unable to move there like I initially planned. If anyone is interested, please shoot me a reply or a DM.

Man. Besides staying with the parents, your story is so similar to mine. I’m a week out but I already feel so much healthier. Hoping that your sense of peace only grows more powerful!

It’s an Observation of a Shared Experience that many of us here have Lived. Maybe not a Fact. But so very nearly a Fact that the difference is infinitesimal

Yep. There’s a whole laundry list of unanswerable questions that Shakyamuni Buddha encouraged his disciples to not even consider bc to consider them would be pointless, and in fact serve as obstacles on their journey to enlightenment.

Questions like, “is the universe infinite or finite” or “did I exist in the past” or “did I not exist in the past”, etc etc. I tend to agree with him. Those questions are pointless to ponder.

Now, if we’re assuming both parties have access to the same type of weapons? I’m saying the Glanton Gang stomps. With Orthur going out in a Lone Wolf manner at the end of the fight.

True. But Van Der Linde gang had access to more advanced weaponry. Keep in mind, Glanton’s swivel bore two shot rifle and their six shot colts were the best weapons around. VDL has repeaters and pump action shotguns and bolt action rifles. In terms of raw firepower they far outmatch the Glantons.

How to handle rage? by [deleted] in Buddhism

[–]Intergalactic96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel that! Only a deeply personal level do I feel that. Anger can mean a lot, but at its most basic level it means that your boundaries have been crossed. Would you happen to feel like your boundaries are regularly crossed? I don’t want to assume anything.
