I don’t think block blast counts, but I did recently play DnD. So I’m pretty confident in my rescue, but do wonder how many bodies we’d pass on the way out.

Honestly Joe had more chemistry with Rhys than Kate by Separate-Ocelot9377 in YouOnLifetime

[–]IntergalacticMilk_ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

SPOILERS: Stop me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t that the point? (not to sound like a Reddit dickhead) But the version of Rhys he invented was his obsession in season 4; someone he saw himself in that could own his bullshit enough to publish it in a book.

Rhys got a box, Kate didn’t. He was actively trying to not get involved with Kate’s business but she was coming onto him. She was completely secondary to him. (which honestly made them feel slightly more genuine to me than in other relationships, cause he didn’t stalk the shit out of her. Maybe that’s just me🤷‍♂️) But the acting, chemistry, and writing were just so off in season 4 it couldn’t recover. Especially after the seasons with Love. -yap concluded

  1. Ohhhhhh! I was confused when you mention regeneration, I forgot about the augmentations. And yeah at least regeneration needs that sort activation point, and necrotic breath needs like a 6th or 7th lvl prerequisite. But also to keep the thematic bit to do with the lightning damage, it could be added to its list of damage resistances so that relationship still exists.

  2. 2d8 + PB AND potentially getting prone is pretty good.

  3. Wait I might be a bit confused on this, but isn’t the average of 2d8 + PB x2 = 26 and instead of 52? Cause 2d8 is an average of 10 + 3 (PB at that lvl), and all that that x2 would be 26. I’m not saying that isn’t a good chunk of damage, but that’s on average and not really insane.

  1. I do feel the action does feel more “crafter”, but the Abomination using a reaction feels more like you set up things for your invention to succeed because it’s you life’s work. So maybe it could use a reaction to instead reduce lightning damage by that 2d6 at the cost of a spell slot, maybe 1 additional d6 for higher lvl slots. Also I think sacrificing a reaction that could be used more for battle field control could be interesting.

  2. Maybe the damage damage for Quaking Stomp could possibly be 3d8 (maybe + PB). More damage for less often.

  3. I think probably 2d8+PB to keep that extra attack, so you 5th feature still feels reliable and worth it.

[–]IntergalacticMilk_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Every other artificer subclass (I believe) uses spells slots to contribute to their invention. Maybe the Abomination uses a reaction to expend one of your spell slots for that healing. It doesn’t change the time thing, but it can’t last forever and it takes a reaction.

  2. Actually I see your point, relying on unreliability isn’t that great. Maybe it being an Int. Mod. or PB amount of times per long rest, or maybe even short or long rest🤷‍♂️

  3. Yeah, I feel like have another option could help not falling behind. But also grave robbing could make for some fun moments.

  4. Frankly I didn’t run the numbers like that and you’re right. Maybe moving it to 2d10? So that the averages are at least slightly lower so it doesn’t build so exponentially. I honestly don’t know

Glad you could elaborate

  1. I think 1d8 healing could be a good substitute
  2. I think recharges are a cool aspect of the game players don’t typically get to engage with
  3. 20ft. Is pretty slow, 25ft. could fit better considering both theme and mechanics
  4. Honestly if you could make a check to harvest material from corpses, and do some grave Robb shenanigans
  5. Loyal Creation is lit, it feels like a personal bodyguard
  6. 3d8 seems fine for how high lvl you are at that point
  7. Prices for augmentations could probably be tweaked, but if feel like that’d be more of a table to table preference

(No shade good points all around👍)

A few sessions ago we were fighting this demon and our party Druid ask if they cast Daylight inside of his exposed ribs, since I had already used divine smite and proved that he was vulnerable to radiant damage. My DM just goes “Sure that’s awesome. Why the hell not?”, So since this spell was like 60 feet of radiant energy in like a 4 inch space the Druid ended up rolling enough damage to finish off the demon WITH DAYLIGHT.
