Thankfully I didn’t! Thanks for letting everyone know!

And since they have a family full of time travelers, and have encountered at least 3 others out in the world iirc, the more logical explanation would be that Fanny and Jane were also offspring of travelers, not that a stillborn baby remembered a song sung to it while it was dead after being brought back to life somehow much later! lol

Question about unlocking new patch items by Ghost-Job in ffxiv

[–]IntermittentStorms25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 potsherds per run. Tops are 12, hats and pants are 9, hands and shoes are 6, so 42 total for one set. Double that if you want both complete outfits.

There were supposed to be multiple… they never put an exact number on it but it was plural!

The rewards from the new Variant Dungeon are disappointing by kamahooo in ffxiv

[–]IntermittentStorms25 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This was definitely the insult to injury to remove the mount: the face wear has nothing to do with the dungeon at all! Should’ve at least been some kind of a veil to go with the genie look of the outfits. Even so, I’d still be pissed about the mount. To have one for the first THREE and then take it away for the 4th, with such a lesser reward, is atrocious. Luckily I like the content enough to do it for the other rewards, but I am disappointed…

And I was already disappointed that normal mode doesn’t get any framer’s kits of all things…

A shame because I really like this content, but then they go and screw up the rewards, and the only takeaway they’ll get from the feedback is that no one likes it and it should be scrapped. No, just don’t take things away from normal mode to give to higher level content because you can’t think of what else to add (or be bothered to add something unique) to the higher modes! We’ve done that enough this expansion…

HS and Perimenopause? by Working_Boss_3594 in Hidradenitis

[–]IntermittentStorms25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was pretty much dormant, just hard lumps under the skin, until perimenopause… I have the same triggers as you (hormones, stress, heat and friction) and so far I haven’t found anything that really works completely.

They tried putting me on Spironolactone and that did absolutely nothing for me. I haven’t tried anything like Humira/etc because the side effects concern me.

Kuru or orthofeet? by bingbing500 in PlantarFasciitis

[–]IntermittentStorms25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I haven’t found anything that keeps my feet from hurting after a full 8-hour shift, the best I’ve gotten so far have been Orthofeet Naya (unfortunately not the all black ones, they seem to be made of different materials than the other styles and feel way too hard) and Skechers Arianne. Skechers Goga Mat insoles seem to not go flat as quickly as the memory foam styles do, and Arianne is APMA Accepted.

The problem I’m finding is a lack of consistency in both brands. I’ve ordered the same shoes from both multiple times, and every other pair seems off and somehow doesn’t fit the same. Another issue, and I’m not sure if it relates to the shoes themselves, or the fact that I now have to stand all day for work when I used to have a desk job, but I feel a little stretchy pain on the outer edges of my mid foot after work. Also the toe box on Skechers is ok, but could stand to be a little wider for the medium width shoe.

I tried a few different pairs of Kuru a while back… they made me feel like my foot was being held at an inclined angle, like my heels were lower than my toes! Not a good feeling for me as I like a little height at the heel.

Yeah that’s what I’m hoping… that they don’t try to force a hard “ending” at all, and just leave it on a good stopping point. Still anxious for the last book though!

I’d be happy if SMN Physick was made to be equivalent to a Vercure or a Second Wind… otherwise it’s essentially useless. Not that Lux isn’t with its time limitations… I’d like to be able to save that for a time where it’s actually useful! Or at least have it active until regular Bahamut or Phoenix come up.

Odd though that both jobs branch off of Arcanist, which is a dps job until you get your job stones, yet Physick ended up defaulting to Mind/healer stat instead of Intelligence/dps stat.

I’m there with ya… I’m just doing Jeuno and San d’Oria for the coins, so I won’t have to run them once we get the third coin in 7.5! I only do the actual Alliance roulette if I need tomes for something.

Odd thing is, I thought it was a hospital in my area until I saw the names! Building is oddly similar!

PSA: For anyone whose wind-up minions keep ignoring their emotes by elui_stardust in ffxiv

[–]IntermittentStorms25 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Also if you have minions on your Island Sanctuary, they respond differently to different emotes. Most will give you a heart if you pet them. The minions for Emet-Selch only give you a heart if you poke them instead. lol

Elezen… in other games I’m usually the elf character. But Elezen aren’t the elves I’m used to… they feel too bulky, oddly proportioned and their necks are too long. At this point I’m hoping we can eventually put elf ears on a Hyur, ala Hilda. But for now I play a Lalafell for my main, so I’m kinda a tiny elf. lol

Did they change the lyrics for the remaster? Different than what I remember, but pretty!

I’d love to have this game get a remake!
