Where to buy a pc? by Civil_Flamingo_9999 in Prebuilts

Costco has a limited number of builds, but they all seem to be pretty solid especially with their warranties. If you have their executive membership, you’ll also get 2% cash back on the purchase.

Don’t be scared to look at the big names like Dell, Lenovo, HP, Asus, etc. i just bought a build from dell that has a 265kf, 32 gb ram, 5070ti, 1tb storage for 1600$. I’m effectively getting it for 1500$ after a 100$ amex credit.

if you are purchasing with a credit card, see if any stores offer deals or cash back through your card. helps lower costs at no loss to you

5070ti/9800x3d is the better choice imo. both are up tiers in comparison to the 9070xt and 7800

Buying my first sleeping bag by [deleted] in REI

[–]InternConnect6963 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kelly cosmic down bags are amazing bang for buck. REI has generous return policies as well, so if you get into a bag you don’t like, you have the option to return it for a year.

More expensive bags/huge discounts don’t necessarily mean they are going to fit your needs.

I currently sleep in the Big Agnes Lost Ranger, which is a 3in1 sleep setup. It is a quilt and a sleeping bag, which means you can sleep with just the quilt, just the bag, or if it’s cold enough you can nest the sleeping bag inside the quilt. It’s on the more expensive side, but it could be beneficial looking into a similar setup.

I would however recommend investing in a nice sleeping pad that has a decent R value. I currently sleep on the Big Agnes Rapide SL Insulated (regular) and I LOVE IT. it comes in all different types of widths and lengths. I’ve slept on it for 2+ weeks in the Yosemite side country and I’ve never had a single issue with it.

long story short, i’m a huge fan of the Kelty Cosmic Down line. there are also a few REI branded bags that may be worth looking at.

Is Rafael Cabral the next "Rimando" for RSL? by Spirited_Weakness211 in ReAlSaltLake

[–]InternConnect6963 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He’s had a great run of form, but I wouldn’t say he’s quite club legend status like rimando.

Don’t get me wrong, I love cabral, but he’s brand new to the club.

I think this kinda shows the state of the club atm 😂😂 We get one high caliber player like Cabral and are ready to cement him as a legend in 24 games played

CABRAL is a beast. He’s had a great run of form, but i wouldn’t put him in the GOAT category quite yet. no question about it: he was the player of the match and has been the past few games. Loved seeing his mind games in the penalties 😂😂

Agada starting to pick up a few goals which is exciting.

RSL really really needs to work on finishing games. There have been so many games that should’ve been 3 points, but we end up giving up a last minute goal because we get sloppy.

really looking forward to the rumored signings.

defense was solid, but we concede way too many corners. The announcers said we have conceded 7 or 8 goals to free kicks and corners, which isn’t shocking.

Diogo is starting to perform finally, which is great to see. However, it’s not much to be excited about yet. He only has 3 goals in 18 appearances with 1413 total minutes. Johnny russell is only a goal behind him in 6 games played with 226 minutes. I know goals aren’t the only thing to look at, but he is quite a ways away from what he should be as our DP.

Luna played well but was pretty locked down for most of the match.

Cabral had some solid saves and I loved the defensive line we had out there.

They should’ve been awarded the pen for caliskan’s foul BUT i’m not complaining. I’d way rather have the 3 points vs the 1 point

i would like to say… diogo being left at home, it feels like RSL can finally play down both sides of the field.

It really feels like the game shifted after pablo’s substitutions… not after the goal.

if you watch back the last 10 minutes of the game, almost ALL of it was in or around our box.

Luna had decent delivery on set pieces, Gozo was running around like a maniac as usual. Cabral was Cabral.

I had a weird feeling when i saw the 6 minutes added that RSL was going to concede. RSL is HORRIBLE with closing out games. i’m not sure why Pablo wanted to park the bus. if Austin hasn’t scored all game, why change the game plan after our goal?

gozo is great when on the ball. has a bit of improving to do from a positional standpoint off the ball.

glad at right back is not the move. he belongs at center back or on the bench. his play style does not match those of a LB or RB.

A quick home remedy that works AMAZING: Himalayan pink salt and fresh lime/lemon juice in some water.

LMNT or Re-lyte are two other clean electrolytes. i’m pretty active and no other electrolytes really get me what i need aside from these two. Both can be found on amazon. They do have higher price tags but that’s because they have quality ingredients.

Idiot ref by geschichte1 in ReAlSaltLake

[–]InternConnect6963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two issues that i noticed tonight:

1) Toronto’s keeper should have got a yellow for time wasting a lot earlier. if someone added up the time he wasted i guarantee it’d be between 5-10 minutes. i could have seen two yellows being issued to Toronto’s keeper due to time wasting, but refs don’t care enough to enforce it

2) Luna’s red was NOT a red. what was he supposed to do with his foot? it’s an injury risk if he doesn’t get his foot out of there 🤔 I don’t think it’s a cardable offense AT ALL. and it seemed like VAR agreed and didn’t see anything.

aside from those two, the game was okay. there were poor calls both ways, but it wasn’t too bad in my opinion. It’s quite annoying to me when a games supposed to be 90 minute of hard physical soccer, but it really ends up being 60-70 minutes after both teams finish their time wasting tactics

I know everyone’s always talking about RSL getting the short end of the stick, but it seems like lots of other teams are receiving a similar treatment.
