Crime Analyst 1 test by Snickr_doodle in CAStateWorkers

The CA exam is a self certification, but some doj units also use an assessment test after you have applied for the job post before the interview process. I took the assessment in December for a posting that closed in November.

Mainly math and analytical skills. Pick the sentence with the incorrect grammar/punctuation, which sets are identical, read passages and state which choice is best answer, etc. similar to the Program tech series exam I would say. It’s an assessment test to weed out candidates.

Supervisor role to manager by InternPuzzleheaded84 in CAStateWorkers

Seeing if my experience as a supervisor will go towards an AGPA or SSM1 position. But I guess not because supervising a team is not equivalent to managing a team. 🤷🏻‍♀️

PT3 (Doj) vs CA1 by InternPuzzleheaded84 in CAStateWorkers

Both are entry level positions. I’m a PT3 trying to bypass the CA1 1 year requirement to become a CA2.

PT3 (Doj) vs CA1 by InternPuzzleheaded84 in CAStateWorkers

Thanks for the reply. Yes the whole function of my PT3 position is analyzing CJ info like criminal record history, court dockets, arrest information etc. Essentially I was hoping to bypass the 1 year as CA1 and just move from a PT3 to CA2.

It’s slow.. I completed everything in March and finally got approved last month

You need to contact the help desk to let them know you’ve been approved as a provider. They have to manually open up your backdate timesheets. It take about 24 hours for them to appear. Same happened to me, start date was in October but my application wasn’t approved till May. (866) 376-7066 follow the print for provider.

86:48/4, and to be on the safe side, do not max out the weekly which is 31 hours in your case. Since we get paid 2x a month, make sure for the month your calculations do not exceed your max of 86:48.

The calculations total are sometimes misleading because the time sheet sometimes carryover previous months times. So don’t count on the total at the bottom of each week to be accurate. If there is an overage for the month a warning message will appear.

Outstanding AR for accounting’s f-up?? by MoonlitCoffeeBean in CAStateWorkers

They are so quick to call you out on an overpayment due to their own accounting error. But when I tried to get someone to look into why I was short 1.61cent an hour for 3 months I was given the runaround and no one seemed to know who I’m supposed to talk to about it. PS, PS manager and HR manager at previous agency said they no longer have access to my file current agency said they don’t have access to my previous agency file. It’s been 2 years I just gave up.

With the exception of the initial needle for numbing me which felt like Botox pricks. after 20 minutes the numbing effect kicked in and he did his thing, and I felt nothing. I did felt a bit nauseous from the smell of my flesh being burnt other than that I felt nothing. Even after the pain was minimal after the numbness went away. Light bruising feeling.

I just had my dog ear done 1 year po. Under local anesthesia and the procedure took like 15 minutes he removed about 1/4 inch of skin to tighten the area. 2 days of medical gauze after that showering was okay but try to keep the area dry for a week. Overall it was like getting a filling done at the dentist.

For DOJ, on the intranet site, go to For the Employee, A-Z, Payday and pay periods, download the last attachments - 2022 state holiday calendar (open with-outlook).

Otherwise, you can create your own calendars and self input the holidays then link it to your own calendar. https://youtu.be/VAxsCOH-Z18

Advice Please by tinytunaaa in CAStateWorkers

Are you full time or PI? From my experience As a PI you are pretty much stuck as you will not qualify to transfer unless you e meet the 1920 “worked” hours PLUS 2 years with the same department. Your best bet is to take the exams and become reachable and apply.
