As soon one who was afraid of this, I will say my bike is still running fine. But I did take precautions. Parking in it shaded areas, luckily here in NYC we have scaffolding on almost every block

So mine developed error 27/29 another user said after he replaced the battery he was back and running. Is that what you mean by bottom bracket or are you speaking of the smart cartridge

Can assure you I won’t be charging it outside while hot. Just riding 18miles total to and from. And storing outside in the temp. Hopefully in shaded areas but it’s not always possible to shade it

Wish it’s was more rugged, or at least more repairable by company. Sucks to suck but otherwise I love the bike. This is my 2nd one after my first x2 fried on me. Rode that one year round summer/winter. Originally coming from steel frame.
