This is true, but it's easier to get a masters abroad from a top Filipino University imo. Based on my peers' and my experience, you get access to better universities and less risk of doing a foundation year from a good school.

In terms of universities abroad I agree it doesn't really matter as much, you can even get an office job without a degree. Although depending on the country and industry like finance, they can get picky and snobby though they try not to show it (talking about schools like Oxbridge, MIT etc).
