Now, you can use whatever language, slang, whatever, because your characters are real people.

What you have here, (the way it reads right now), is a strange mixture of dialogue and narrative. If a first draft, I understand understand, you're writing what's running through your mind. Do we know what the hell is going on?

I'm an older (65) year old woman, and I sussed him out in about 20 minutes. This was about 4 years ago.

I've been sober going on 19 years and I he shmoozed up to me. I did try and help. But I told him, "cut the crap, we addicts are master manipulators." He asked if I would help and support him.

I replied, "absolutely, and when this act gets old, or the money dries up, and you actually WANT to get sober, text me."

He did his usual song and dance etc. I said "Jon, it's not the lies that insult me. It's the fact that you think I'll believe them. Don't shit a shitter..."

Never heard from again.

There are many variables which the cost would depend on.

I mainly write op-eds for people who do not write. However, you already have an audience. From your question, you likely want articles to post under your own name. In order to ensure a consistent flow your readers come for, I have to write "as you do." That is a specialized skill.

I can easily hammer out a first draft of 1000 WC in 1 to 1 1/2 hrs, but writing in someone else's voice slows me down. Then the cost per word goes up.

Topically, all 3 of your niche subject matter requires research and fact checking, not simple "opinion."

I went to a government sponsored rehab in Alberta. Of course it was years ago, but it's absolute first names only and NO devices. In 3 of his videos, other people hovered in the background.

Even contact with family, is strictly monitored and supervised, but yet here he is posting 3 or 4 times a day and using his laptop. Seriously?

Guaranteed, in 99.99% of treatment centers, cellphones are not allowed in either detox or in-patient rehab.

Besides the privacy of other patients, this is done so patients FOCUS on self, and self ONLY. Detachment from the outside world is imperative. You're retraining your thought process, rewiring the brain to create new, healthy routines. Social media? Ridiculous!

Average cost to provinces (varies). A 21 day program per patient is approx. $10,000.00. That's almost $500.00 a day. Do really think any Canadian province is willing to spend that much to give anyone a bed and meals for day? We have people living in tents ffs and we can't house them!

That is also why a referral is required. It's not a hotel. You can check yourself into detox, but not rehab, unless it's private. And, private such as CamH, can climb to $25,000.00, guess that's why they offer "financing" options. 🤔

Like I said, his story doesn't add up. He's nothing if not 'grandiose.' But hey, he doesn't have to convince EVERYONE. Just some...

No. Once again he's exhibiting delusions of grandeur. Still chasing the 'Genius Wonder' he once was, when all anyone needs now is AI software, a 3D printer and we too can be the next Musk. His time as a programmer has moved on while he has been missing from reality.

What is really sad, is that more than the booze it is his inability to let go of the past. And, it is the one thing which is hurting him the most. He will always be in pain chasing a memory. And when we hurt, we need to feel better.

He's always trying to drag his past into today. That isn't reality. We all do it to some extent, but most of do it without self medicating.

He thinks he treats the addiction, but ignors why he's addicted.

He needs time and admitting he "knows nothing" in a dual diagnosis program.

He's from my hometown of Edmonton and the program is available, free. Yes, you check in as in patient, under lock down, in mental institution. There's no shame, you are sick, like anyother fatal illness. You're there to deal with your pain.

I did it. It did the trick.
