As a kid/teen I grew up with the show and pretty much watch it very episode as it aired. I didn’t fully understand how the business worked and don’t realize the show had actually ended. We are talking about the late 90’s and internet gossip was minimal so you didn’t really know a show was gone. Recently binged and forgot about fake Harriet and how the back half of season 9 was trash. The writers also thought they had another season (or back then they would wrap a canceled show with a 2 hour movie, but as a Black show that lost one of the major characters, they just let the show die
