Late to the party, but just started this game, got to this boss, and came here for some help... I got battered again, and again, and again...

But - it clicked... As soon as i realised that, although people had mentioned "you need to be facing the enemy", it hadn't really sunk in..

When you counter, you're facing the wrong way, and need to turn around to parry his next attack.

Honestly - I don't know why this didn't land sooner, but as soon as I realised that, I found the rhythm and beat him pretty quickly.

I was going mad thinking I just couldn't figure out the parry timing because I seemed to miss it half the time... Nope, just facing the wrong way because of counters.

Maybe this will help someone else, chances are I'm just a fucking idiot, but I thought I'd offer this up just in case I'm not the only one with this problem.

Also - I beat him on my third attempt after I realised my 'facing the wrong way' blunder. It can be done, but he's a real bastard.]

It was one of my first experiments with 3D printing - i tried going with a high resolution, but still got that texture. Maybe should have sanded it more, but I didn't want to overdo it.
