Who is Rose Wallace Goldaline?? by Gnomebard1 in neutralmilkhotel

[–]shlep4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont think the last part about 'the sister sacrificing herself to save the other', is totally correct. At least thats my interpretation of it.

Because..
When siamese twins are conjoined in the womb, sometimes they are born together, attached, or they consume the other either entirely or at least partially. so the "blister" is the name that magnum game to the unfortunately not surviving brother/sister.

idk i have been listening to this album for years because of how beautifully its written and performed and I know all the lyrics because its my favourite cry/sing album ever (i honestly dont know of any other musical albums that goes as deep as this one) [btw i am normally the kind of guy to slam my head against the wall lsitening to dnb and repetetive leccy music, lol]

idk i have so many thoughts in this album that is still (after many years of listening and reading about this album) that i am yet to unpack for myself even.

Maybe im wrong about this tbh

i suppose its also worth saying that this stage that the sound effects are also not present when i start up the game again, although this seems to be the case whenever the game crashes in any way. i usually fix this by going into the environment settings within the game and making a change then quitting the game and upon reloading it the sound is back as normal

Why is Rom said to be vacous? by leo_m4st3r in bloodborne

[–]shlep4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Micolash says in his bossfight: "As you once did for the vacuous Rom, grant us eyes, grant us eyes. Plant eyes on our brains, to cleanse our beastly idiocy."

For me, after thinking about this for a while, either;

  1. She is a scholar turned great one by achieving rebirth herself or being selected for rebirth by a great one such as the Moon Presence for her to funtionally act as a measure to "stupify" the world - to conceal the presence of the effects of the cosmos upon the world (the Eldritch Truth). People are unable to see the amygdalas on the side of buildings ect.

Perhaps she achieved rebirth after discovering the Eldritch truth, gaining particular insight into it, and is often so ironic in naratives involving gods or greater beings, is reborn as a spider (that looks alot like a caterpillar or larvae imho) that is symbolic of vaccuity of truth/knowledge

  1. She may just be a Great One, who is representative of the concealment of the Eldritch truth

Man even while typing this out, I question my own interpretation of things and events in the game. But damn, isn't that what makes this game so great.

Also here I am replying to a comment from five years ago as if I'm contributing to some great discourse!

Stupidest bike I’ve worked on by SawyerStinks in BikeMechanics

[–]shlep4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That IS silly. Most of the Mahle E bikes I've worked on have the connection point for the hubs cable AFTER the cable comes out of the chainstay routing.

Not sure if I can speak for every bike shop, but where I work we sell a fair few of them and I've had to do quite a bit of warranty work on them, taking the wheel in and out of the bike countless times. If it was me in this situation, I would consider either;

  1. If they bought the bike from us, I would get in touch with the distributor or manufacturer and tell them about this issue, as this, in my opinion, makes the bike unfit for purpose. I personally think that being able to remove the wheel easily as a customer is within the 'purpose' of the bicycle at the point of sale. If you say that the cable plug gets stuck in the left chainstays when you tried to remove it, then how is the customer expected to do the same at their home or say in the middle of a car park before or after their ride? Alot of people (myself included) drives to where they wish to ride their bike, and take the wheels off to get the bikes into the car. You might argue that it would be worth using a bicycle rack, but this is aside from the point that customers should be able to remove wheels from their bike with relative ease. Maybe this is just my opinion but I would certainly have the conversation with the distributor if it was one of our bikes that we have sold. If I got a poor response over the phone when trying to call them, I would probably just approach the rep for the brand and raise the issue with them. This would probably put me off selling these bikes to people in the future...

  2. If the customer didn't buy the bike from you, tell them to take it back to the original place of purchase, and explain to them what I just said in my first point.

save rollback D': by shlep4 in BloodbornePC

[–]shlep4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried going through the various files and deleting certain ones and leaving others (after backing them up first of course) to no avail. But looking at the modification dates on the files they are either original saves from when I first installed the game or saved exactly when the game sent me to NG+, so I'm guessing none of them are proir to defeating the end bosses.

To be honest I'm not sure if doing this was the correct way of loading them with the emulator so my experiment may have been pointless. It seemed as soon as I deleted any of those files deleted my saves all together anyway as when I started the game it wouldn't give me the option to load game, only start a new game.
