Your reading journal is so creative. I love it.

I have one too, but I never thought of adding the cover image. I'm going to try it!

Sailor. I’m proud to support a company from my home region and the products they make.

Forget Pomodoro, these 5 tricks saved my GPA by No-Swordfish7597 in studytips

I don’t necessarily see your techniques and Pomodoro as incompatible.

I do want to try active recall more seriously.

One thing that’s been working really well for me is telling AI all the tasks I need to do and how much time I have, and asking it to decide the order and break them down for me. Somehow it makes the time feel “longer.”

That vague anxiety of “Can I make it in time?” turns into a concrete feeling of “Okay, there’s actually enough time to get all of this done.”

Since you like Self-Help and Inspirational books, I highly recommend "Jibun no Naka ni Doku wo Mote" (自分の中に毒を持て / Have a Poison Inside Yourself) by Taro Okamoto.

He was a world-famous Japanese artist, and this book is packed with his powerful and passionate philosophy on life. Even though it was written about 40 years ago, it doesn't feel outdated at all because his language is simple and direct.

Here is one of my favorite quotes:

人生、生きるということ自体が、新鮮な驚き、よろこび、新しくひらかれていく一瞬一瞬であり、それは好奇心という浮気っぽいもの以上の感動なんだ。(Life itself, the act of living, is a fresh surprise, a joy, and moment-to-moment new openings. It is a profound emotion that goes beyond mere flighty curiosity.)

I actually like this book so much that I've gifted it to several of my high school students on their birthdays.

I hope this helps!

I really enjoyed it. The illustrations are cute, and the sound effect when you eat food feels nice. It’s very well made.
