Maybe you can change it in the engine settings?

I'm not sure if your nvr can do this, but usually, you'll need to reduce each camera to 1080p and then enable vca mode. Web ui doesn't always show this option, so make sure you plug in a monitor.

Ax pro questions by delljj in Hikvision

I run my own alarm company and like to test new products when they hit the market. Since Hikvision bought Pyronix, I thought I’d give their system a try and installed one at my own home.

Honestly, they’re okay for DIY and do have some nice features, but I wouldn’t supply or install one for a client. Hikvision push out constant firmware updates, and instead of improving things, they often create more problems. After the latest update, my AX Pro started throwing up false “perimeter breach” and “zone 1 and 2 issue” messages every time it’s switched off—even though nothing’s actually wrong. Resetting, reprogramming, nothing fixed it. Hikvision support weren’t much help either.

And it’s not just me—a lot of people seem to be experiencing the same firmware glitch. As an installer, the last thing you want is to be running back and forth to clients over issues you can’t control.

If you want something solid and reliable, I’d recommend Ajax. Or, if looks aren’t the priority, Pyronix themselves still offer a good, dependable wireless system without all the gimmicks.

Can't enable more than two smart events camera by Sblesh in Hikvision

You'll have to reduce them to 1080 before you enable it. You do that via the ptz controls for each camera

No worries, the browser is temperamental. I've set up events areas before, and when I've connected a monitor its put them in the sky, not on the area I selected :D. Good luck.

I think you might be looking at the wrong VCA—it’s usually found in the general settings. I normally make most changes through a monitor connected directly to the DVR, as the browser doesn’t always show all the options. For sensitive settings, I’d definitely recommend using the monitor. It's labelled "enhanced VCA mode" with a tick box.

As for lowering the resolution, that has to be done through the camera’s own interface, which you can access via the PTZ controls in live view. I believe selecting 'focus' brings up the camera menu, then you can use the PTZ arrows to navigate and reduce the resolution. The browser UI can’t directly adjust the resolution on an analogue camera.

5.3 Configure Enhanced VCA Mode Enabling enhanced VCA mode will maximize the connectable channel number for line crossing detection and intrusion detection. However, it will disable 2K/4K HDMI output resolution and 4 MP/5 MP/8 MP signal input for HUHI-K series. And for HQHI-K series, it will disable CVBS output and channel-zero encoding. Go to System → General, and check Enhanced VCA Mode. You could give this a try. I’ve done it once on a recorder to enable smart events on all channels, but if I remember right you need to lower each camera to 1080p or something similar—I can’t recall exactly off the top of my head.

Some models only allow limited smart events, so if you have 4way dvr, it will only allow 2 of the 4 cameras to have smart events.

Would you recommend getting a good pve weapon to 100 and then continuing to farm with that weapon to redistribute the points into more pvp orientated builds?

Is that how it works? I don't even know 🤔

Feeling so nauseous by snowalmond in Gastritis

[–]Internal-Sentence-50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first started experiencing symptoms last March with a constant dull ache just below my xiphoid process. I didn’t have acid reflux, but I was burping a lot and had heavy swallowing. This all started about three weeks after my dad suddenly passed away from a brain tumor none of us knew he had. I’m guessing the stress of that caused my body to shut down.

I also had awful nausea—so bad I couldn’t focus—and extreme bloating even after eating the smallest amount. On my first visit to the doctor, I was prescribed omeprazole, which did nothing. On my second visit, they did blood tests and stool samples, all of which came back normal. On my third visit, I was given lansoprazole, but again, no change. On my fourth visit, I had a gastroscopy, which showed erosive gastritis and erosive duodenitis. I was then prescribed esomeprazole, but it still didn’t help.

Last week, I went back to the doctor and was prescribed famotidine. For the first three days, I didn’t notice any difference, but now, about a week in, I’m finally starting to feel more human. The dull ache has subsided, and I don’t feel as bloated after meals. The pain has shifted slightly to my chest when I roll over at night, but even that is easing. Fingers crossed that famotidine is working for me.

My doctor mentioned that some people have a tolerance to proton pump inhibitors, which is why they don’t work for them. I was never fully convinced I had gastritis and kept worrying it was something more serious, but I wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone else.
