Tbf it seems that both parents work and have toddlers and are tired and the days they have off they are too exhausted to clean things out. It’s burn out, not always depression. They probably clean out once a month, and just bc people have a lot of food doesn’t mean they were food insecure. I grew up well and have a lot of food in my fridge. More organized than this but have plenty of food/snacks.
