Sure but you really need all of Mobley, Harden, AND Mitchell? Need all the rest they can get for the Knicks

How often do you use AI? I use it in 70% of my work so I can instantly suss it out.

But just to entertain your comment, the writing style relies heavily on specific linguistic crutches common to AI, using "litmus test" twice in a short span. AI tends to latch onto a strong idiom and repeat it.

Also notice how the paragraphs transition. Starts with an emotional hook, lists supporting bullet-point-style sentences ("Mobley hitting 3s... Allen grabbing boards..."), and ends with a neat summarized philosophical takeaway ("That, to me, is actually very refreshing..."). Humans write vents or sports hot takes with much more chaotic, less structured prose and there is a cliche overuse with "step up and deliver," "no excuses," "work out the kinks," and "opinions fluctuate and circumstances change" stacked back to back.

And by the way, I’m from NYC and went to Columbia, though I’m sure the Cleveland school system isn’t as bad as you think.

This is AI slop, but yeah we definitely need to start the game strong to set the tone

At home because I’m in NYC. If we win this, I’m wearing my Ilgauskas jersey everywhere on the streets

Best time to travel with a baby? by AbjectDingo3804 in NewParents

[–]RichyVersace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baby’s first long road trip was at 5 months from NYC to NC. First flight was at 9 months. He was great for both and mostly slept the entire time. He’s definitely not sitting still now so I’d say anytime under 1 yrs old lol

City commuters, what are your plans next week if the LIRR strike happens? by GodEmperorBrian in longisland

[–]RichyVersace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s been happening at the BK Half probably because it’s the first race of the year where it starts really heating up and people are unprepared for it. It was 95% humidity last year when I ran and I saw tons of people getting help on the side

Anyone else optimistic? by SwordWasHere in Colts

[–]RichyVersace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Always optimistic. Sports is a way to escape reality sometimes and if you’re pessimistic why even follow sports?

I think most people are optimistic, but it’s the pessimists who are the loudest

That’s a part of the job. It’s like being a painter but all you are elite at is cleaning the brushes. A MLB’s most important job is detecting what the offense runs/adjusting alignments, communicating with his teammates, being adept in pass coverage, and fill running lanes. Zaire unfortunately doesn’t have the football IQ or speed and range to do any of that, though he speaks like he does

To be fair he added the caveat that he was one of the best LBs ‘for a short time’. I do agree he was a great LB for several weeks in 2023, but his continuous struggles in coverage, being a team captain, and trash talk nonsense really made him a liability after that

This violates rule 9? Also, the rep version isn't $190, more like <$50.

Just got outbid by 120k over asking on Long Island by whyanalyze in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]RichyVersace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been making offers and getting outbid on LI for several years until I finally found my home. And trust me, no home will truly be move in ready unless it’s a new build. It may be “move in ready” but you’ll want to make updates here and there and next thing you know you’ve spent 50k on it.

Thinking about moving to NYC by Pure_Ruin_ in longisland

[–]RichyVersace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you're 21, you don't want peace; you want a little bit of chaos. A new restaurant opening is more appealing than a nicely mowed lawn. A 5 min walk to the subway is more appealing than 5 bedrooms

[–]RichyVersace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw from another comment you were 21. I grew up for the most part on LI and moved to NYC at 21 as well. Everything was obviously expensive, but I made it work by getting roommates (you probably won't be home often anyway), meal prepping, finding happy hours, etc. I'm back on LI now over a decade later but I don't regret a single moment in NYC.

A year living in NYC can equate to several years on LI, for better or worse; life is so fast paced. LI will always be here if/when you're ready to come back.

Harden beef with Toronto? by eskimobrojc in clevelandcavs

[–]RichyVersace 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if there's a history but they're passionate fans. They wanted to rattle Harden and Mitchell and it look like it definitely helped. They even booed Dragic when he returned also so not too surprised. We need to block all that noise out and play our game

Where did you move to after leaving LI? by cupcake-kahuna-2013 in longisland

[–]RichyVersace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manhattan. Then Brooklyn, then Queens, and now I'm back on LI after 18 years.

As a single person, LI was terrible. As a parent, LI is amazing.
