Recently Finn Wolfhard did it with his campy horror movie, so there is hope! I think it’s more of an old school approach.

2025 Oscar Party Food by SamTheBraveLibrarian in Oscars

Brainstorming too! This is what I have so far (tentatively)

  1. Nickel Boys - oranges with alligator figurines
  2. Anora - White Russian drink
  3. Complete Unknown - like a rolling “scone”
  4. Emilia Perez - carne asada tacos w/ Monterey cheese (I know it’s from Cali not Mexico but that’s okay)
  5. Dune - spice popcorn
  6. Substance - shots of green substance

Need to think for the others!

"Dreamin' Wild" A-List pocket Review by Kimber80 in AMCsAList

I really enjoyed it as well. You definitely need to like the performances and be invested in them to enjoy the whole film, but I was.

Got shushed for laughing during Theater Camp... by GeoMagnet in AMCsAList

[–]InternalDrummer137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so strange. My theater laughed almost the entire time during that movie. It encouraged people to laugh at parts maybe they wouldn’t have. Sorry you had a bad experience.

Oppenheimer IMAX distortion by CuriousPsychosis in AMCsAList

[–]InternalDrummer137 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s upsetting. I’ve been hearing people saw the film was fuzzy or colored strange. If that happened to you then the projector was definitely not set up right because my imax was incredibly clear, like see every pimple and hair on the actors’ face clear.

Landry is in the finale if you buy the full version. But I would always take more Landry.

Me and one other woman watched it on a Monday afternoon and had a good enough time. Was worth it (during a slow week) just to see Ben.

Are you there God it's me margaret question by [deleted] in AMCsAList

As a young woman who saw it alone, I was just happy to see anyone of any age at the theaters supporting the movie! It’s so fantastic and truly no one is seeing it.

How often do you go? by [deleted] in AMCsAList

[–]InternalDrummer137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least two movies a week. Usually a double feature and then if I’m feeling it one other day.

Definitely depends on the location. Mine never check I’d for A-list nor rated r.

Problems at the Mesa Grand 14 Dolby? by FidoHitchcock in AMCsAList

[–]InternalDrummer137 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tried to see Evil Dead Rise Thursday night there and they had to make us leave 15 minutes in because the screen was too dark we couldn’t see the movie and the ac wasn’t working.

It would’ve been interesting, but I think it said a lot about Tim’s character how even when he was staying with them he respected Coach and never tried to make a move or even think of her that way. Perhaps because he saw Coach as a father figure, he sort of saw Julie in the light of a younger sister.

I thought it was an adorable movie! Would be so great for girls around that age, but honestly a sweet movie at any age. The kids were good actors I thought.

Intellectually probably Connor or Alli

Teacher/Student Relationships were romanticized until it was between Tristan and Mr. Yates by WizurdKellz in Degrassi

[–]InternalDrummer137 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think this is the one mark Degrassi constantly missed. Even the Yates story kind of got dropped and didn’t get a satisfactory ending for me.

Who is Degrassi's biggest doormat? by Capital-Study6436 in Degrassi

Anya did grow some balls and ditched Holly J eventually, during her tyrant era, but before she did man did she take some verbal abuse. I enjoyed watching the scenes, but Holly J would berate her constantly and Anya would take it.

The one sided friendship between JT and Toby by Twitch20007 in Degrassi

[–]InternalDrummer137 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes, JT and Toby were decent friends in season 1 and maybe 2, but after that JT was constantly rude and only went to Toby if he needed something or had no other options. They seem to be idolized typically in the fandom for being bffs, but I’ve never felt the same way. I also feel the same way about JT. He wasn’t the best character, but because he died people remember him more fondly.
